Please note that a rating is now required in your completion posts! A small review is also welcome. 😊
I think most of you know each other, at least a little, but feel free to introduce yourself again. Please give any relevant information, especially time zone as that helps know when it is best to communicate. 😊Please select a team leader to help keep track of where your team is in any given task. And as necessary guide discussions for task decisions. Any teammate can report your completions though.
Remember, it is the team's responsibility to notify the host (me) if a teammate fails to complete the task in a timely manner or otherwise goes missing! I am not checking all the team threads regularly to notice and may only check when notified a task is complete.
PS - If you want to be known as anything other than Team 13, you are free to come up with a team name. 😉
Hey there Team 13!I’m so excited for this. I have been in such a slump lately and need some tasks to push me back into reading. I’m doing this and Pass the Parcel in here, and am trying to decide if I want to do SS or SSS in The Challenge Factory. I want the push of two books a week but if I can’t make it work for our tasks here then I may be reading into the wee hours of the night to keep up. :) But I’m also starting to walk more and there’s always audiobooks...
For introduction, I’m 39 and married, no kids. One dog. Originally from Nebraska, spent 12 years in Chicago, now living down in hot and miserable Orlando. Mr. Logan and I hope to move to Denver in a few years, but we’ll see where the road takes us.
I love to read almost everything. I’m trying to think if I have any genre or sub genre that would be a hard no, and I don’t think there is. I tend to lean toward historical and mysteries these days.
Anyone good with team names? I suck at them. 🤷♀️
Hi everyone. I live in Chicago with my hubby. We have 3 grown sons and 2 DIL. I'm retired and enjoy all types of romance (well, not crazy about PNR). I'm also in PTP and I'm going to do SS. I did SSS one time, Logan, and it's tough to keep up with 2 books a week if you're in other challenges. If you haven't played before, I would recommend SS. I am horrible at coming up with names but I will ask my DIL. She's great at it. She came up with our name for PTP.
I am a stay at home mom trying to navigate virtual learning for my 3 kids. I live in Dallas and we are currently trying to talk my husband into getting a dog. I am playing SSS but I didn’t sign up for PTP. I took have been reading duds but I blame Covid
Karen ♐ wrote: "I've often thought how difficult it must be for parents with school age children."It is challenging but we have my mom living with us so we do what we must
I ended up chickening out of SSS and going for SS again. :)Ezi, what kind of dog are you all wanting to get? Any particular breed or find one to adopt?
Here’s hoping we find some non-duds to read!
I like Supreme 13! Has a nice ring to it.
A hypoallergenic dog. We have been looking at rescues. Nothing to Aggravate my kids irritable pathway (precursor to asthma)My husband hates dogs so it has been a fight since the pandemic as we walk outside for exercise and all of our neighbors have dogs now. It’s like Covid
My son wanted a dog and it took him a while to get one from a shelter. He had to get on a list and finally got his dog. They told him so many people are adopting dogs with having to stay home.Supreme 13 sounds good to me too.
Still no Kathy, she is usually prompt - she must have something going on this weekend. I'll PM her in a few.
hi all....sorry for the late check in....real life got busy this past week and weekend....looking forward to playing this challenge again....I live in the southeast suburbs of Chicago....I read all different types of genres, but I've been running with contemporary and paranormal for a while now....Supreme 13 sounds like a great name to me!
Kathy, that real life certainly interrupts our reading, doesn't it? Lol Looks like we all agree on Supreme 13 for the name so now does anyone want to be captain?
MKat has posted the first task:HERE WE GO!
Task 1 for all teams!
0. As a team select your favorite month of 2019 (because 2020 basically SUCKS!) and each player reads a book initially published in that month. No pass for this task.
For this task we are using the initial publication date. If one is listed at the top of the editions page, use that. Otherwise I will be looking for the first published date of an English language edition. Remember to use the first English language Kindle edition for your page count and ensure that your completion posts contain all the required information listed in message #3 of your team thread.
MKat specified also that the book must have been published in that month in 2019 so we are looking only at books published last year. Anyone have a month they prefer? I have a book I’m planning to read from November 2019 but I am flexible. Plus I love November because Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. :)
We also need a Team Leader. I’ll go ahead and tell MKat that our name is Supreme 13 if that’s okay. If no one else wants to be the leader, I can do it as I did it the last time we played Amazing Race.

Whenever we all finish our books, I then post our completion and then MKat gives us our new task. It's hard to estimate since we don't really know each other's reading speed yet. I would suggest to just read as you normally do so that you can enjoy your book. Hope that helps, Ezi.

Review: This is a cute story. There are 4 narrators for this book and they did a great job. Quinn has sworn off dating and meets Vaughn, her brother's business partner. They are planning a holiday party together and since he is planning on moving, they decide to have a brief romance. Of course, things don't go exactly as they planned.

I enjoyed this story but after reading more than 16 books in this series, this book was truly more of the same. What I find different in this spinoff is that the couple don’t have as much interaction with the brotherhood since the H are gen one breed. I liked the family feel of having the entire breed family all together.
With that said, I liked Lenny a lot. She was raising her nephew as they tried to figure out what happened to her sister who has been missing for 5 years. It was serendipity that Knox showed up to her diner because she knew exactly what he was and how he could help her. The rest of their journey read just like the prior books. Their chemistry was okay, the little boy made me like them more. I don’t know if I really felt them as a couple as much as i felt they as parents and protectors.
If you like the prior two books, you will like this one.

Review: It’s been awhile since a book made me laugh out loud. The “bros” totally killed me. Braden is hilarious, the Russian has the best comic relief, and I adored the whole gang.
The idea of the book club is a fun and fresh spin. I really liked getting so much of the story from the male perspective. I also enjoyed the snippets of the book they were reading. Totally cute and fun!
I wasn’t all that crazy about Thea, but it was nice seeing her come to accept her own faults and get some revenge on the nasty wives who made life hard for her.
But the whole cast of characters was amazing and I would love this to be a TV series. Looking forward to Braden’s book!
