Schooled in Magic
by Christopher G. Nuttall

Emily gets transported into a world that is fantastical and full of magic, but lacks modern ideas and technologies. At a school for the magically gifted, she deploys her our-world knowledge to introduce new concepts to her new home.

Group consensus:
After a hurdle of an introduction, Schooled in Magic explores an interesting and fascinating world and magic system in the magical lessons, which proved by far the most interesting and entertaining. However, it overall fails to build compelling characters and story, finally turning out an enjoyable yet somewhat dissatisfying experience.

There are currently no plans for a group read of the sequel(s).
