I read from page 37 to 52. This chapter started off with Two-Bit, Ponyboy and Johnny walking Cherry and Marica home from the drive in movies. They were talking for a while. Then a blue Ford Mustang went by and they were scared. After it went by they weren't scared. Then it came back and it was Cherry and Marica's boyfriend, Bob and Randy. Randy, Bob, Two-Bit, and Ponyboy about fought each other. Cherry broke it up. Cherry and Marcia went with Randy and Bob. Two-bit went home and Johnny and Ponyboy went to the parking lot. They were talking and fell asleep. Johnny woke up Ponyboy. Ponyboy went home and Johnny stayed. Ponyboy went inside the house and his brother Dally started asking Ponyboy where had he been. Ponyboy told Dally that him and Johnny fell asleep in the parking lot. Their brother Sodapop told Darry to calm down. Darry said shut your trap, I'm tired of you sticking up for him. Ponyboy said I wasn't thinkin. Darry swung around and hit Ponyboy. Ponyboy ran to the parking lot and told Johnny were running away. The chapter ended with them at the park.
