This is great!!!! I loved this so much! In the beginning, it was a little hard for me to figure out what was happening, but it still definitely hooked me. Especially with the very first line: "Aisha had always been a strong believer in the unpredictability of life. God didn’t play dice with universe, indeed."Even though I didn't really know what you were talking about yet, that definitely made me want to find out. This is a really great beginning, keep going! :)
((Aww...Thanks Marley :) [It's so much better when you compliment me rather than of threatening my muffin basket... ]))
KINESIS POVShe was late.
Standing upon the chaos of her making, for the very first time in her very short life, Kinesis didn’t feel elated.
Because she was late.
The gut-churning mixture of triumph, pride and fear was oddly missing.
Because she was missing.
Here she was, glancing from the roof, down an almost burned building, and all Kinesis wanted was to stare at the sky for a sign of her. Every breeze felt like it bore the message of her arrival. But of course, there was no gaudy golden speck barreling towards her. Yet, she focused on the dark sky, instead of the beautiful, burned building underneath. Ugh! Last year me would be so disappointed!
Kinesis would have felt like she had been stood up, if not for the fact that it wasn’t possible. And if it had been date. Which it wasn’t. Obviously not. Because that would be absurd. So, it wasn’t. No.
Anyways, she would be here any second now. But why wasn’t she here already? She must have been sleeping, like normal people do at night. But what if she didn’t come? Nah, she would. That’s her job! But what if she quit —
“What the eff are you doing here?”
Definitely not giving an undignified yelp, Kinesis turned around. And there she was. Lady Valour, in all her glory.
Concealing her relief, Kinesis intoned, “My Lady has finally graced us with her presence!”
“Us? Are some of your thugs hiding here somewhere?” asked Lady Valour, gesturing at the abandoned rooftop.
Ignoring Valour’s moronic comment Kinesis asked, “Why are you so late?”
“I had homework.”
Kinesis tried to supress her annoyance at the sarcasm and tried again, “‘Homework’ more important than saving someone’s life? Firemen already did all the work. If you can’t show up on time to actually help, why are you even here?”
“I could ask you the same thing.”
Well, Valour was clearly not interested in explaining her tardiness. But Kinesis had to explain why she was here. On the roof. Obviously waiting for Lady Valour to arrive.
So, she did, “I need your help.”
((Hey! I marked all the story bits in bold so you no one has trouble finding them. And please do tell if the scenes I've written so far make any sense. And, obv, if they are any good.))
Okay, so far this is really good! It makes sense to some extent, and when I say that I mean the parts that don't make sense are the parts that haven't been explained yet, which of course is because it's the very beginning of the book. I'm like really curious about Kinesis' relationship with Aisha. Obviously, Kinesis is the supervillain and Aisha is the superhero, but it seems like there's something else there, like maybe they know each other better? idk, but its really good so far! Also, could you tell me how you bolded it? Cause that's actually a really good idea to make the story bolded, so people don't get mixed up.
to bold some text :"<" b ">" BLAH BLAH BOLD TEXT "<" /b ">"
but with out the double quotes and spaces
(also for italics, replace b with i)
AISHA POV“I need your help…”
Her whisper left Aisha’s mind as empty as their surroundings. She said the only thought left, a shocked, "Huh?”
“I need your help. Please.” This time the words were crisp, but there is no hiding the desperation underneath.
That tone, pleading yet proud, threatened to bring back memories. Terrible memories. An inexplicable tide of anger slammed into her rational mind. She growled, “Why?”
“Because I’m despera—”
“No! Why the fuck would I ever help you? Either you’ve got more balls than I gave you credit for, or you must think I’m really stupid. You are a wanted criminal; you just burned a building. Why do you think I won’t handcuff you right now?”
“Did you bring handcuffs?”
Aisha swallowed her vexation. She didn't bother to bring them because she didn’t expect Kinesis to still be on the 'crime-site', not because their past made her reluctant to throw her in a stinky cell. The past did quite the opposite.
Sensing the darkness seeping into her thoughts, perhaps, Kinesis tried again, “I’m asking you because you are a good person. Didn't you vow to help everyone?”
“Looks like you were wrong about me too. I don’t help everyone," said Lady Valour as she turned around.

“Beep -blip-beep!”
Aisha had always been a strong believer in the unpredictability of life. God didn’t play dice with universe, indeed. Because God exists only the minds of indolent make-believers.
Yet, defying her own morals, Aisha prayed for safety of her much though-out, chillax plans. Please! God! Let this be a false-alert, just this one time!
Cautiously, dreadfully, unwillingly, her hand crept towards her beeping, emergency-contact mobile. The screen showed, in ominous red, the location of Kinesis, the ‘Super’ villain attacking some corporate building. Damn it! Here goes my plans of chilling in my room…
She stared at her soft, comfy bed, seducing her to stay. At the probable future injuries begging her to ignore the alert. At her growing pile of work which promised to chase away the guilt if she did.
She sighed, no matter how much she wanted to forget any beckoning, she knew it was impossible. The velvety voice of Kinesis, along with the visions destruction her absence may havoc, were calling her. The exhaustion, if she went, would be nothing compared to regret if she didn’t.
With one last wistful glance at the pile of blankets on her bed and the mountain of assignments she wanted to finish, Aisha left the sanctuary of her room to fight the bane of her existence.
