I really enjoyed this book. It's one I keep thinking about even though I finished it three days ago.

One thing which seemed slightly wrong was the Ogden Morrow character. He had all this money and power but seemed quite happy to watch the real world fall apart

I liked how after Wade found out Aech's true identity, he still referred to her as "he" when they were back in game.

Ogden didn't like the real world. He did'nt hate it as Halliday did but he didn't liked it. He only started to enjoy it when he got married. And even then... meh.
His contrubution to the world were a bunch of free educative programs that helped a whole generation to read, write, do math and be curious about the world.
When his wife died... Well, let the world die. More or less. He found a good hobbie in the Egg Hunt, becoming the referee no one new about.

I was smiling so hard at the end. Ahhhh good :)

Part what I liked was the virtual part, how they all became whomever they wanted and could create a personna.
I felt bad for Wade though, becoming so isolated. I think it was a powerful moment when he decided to leave and interact with the outside world, even if it was to save the virtual one. You could tell when he met his friends face to face that they were really friends, even though they had never "met" before. I think that speaks to how friendships are formed, not through physical interactions but through conversation and ideas.

Any way I jut wanted to post here saying I absolutely loved this book! The OASIS is so cool but I was strongly disappointed in the lack if Harry Potter... It made me question Hallidays Heros and the world in general. They did however mention QUIDDITCH but I feel like there is no way that in a customizable world that we wouldn't create hogwarts etc. or have the book be adopted into the world as a quest!!! Overall 5stars from me!!!
