I didn't like the idea of this book, because I thought Shadowhunters were so cheesy. Clary was an insufferable protagonist, because she was constantly whining and lashing out at her friends and being rude and ungrateful. Simon can say nothing but sarcasm. At one point, Jace actually says "I'm not like other boys," which is the epitome of cringe. But anyway. I can see why people would like it. It's just so full of cliches.

I need to read this.. I am kinda hesitant tho. Is the infernal devices better? And there are just so many books in the shadowhunter chronicles! What is the order?

Apparently TID is better, but I haven't read it. Also, I know, there are SO many. It's overwhelming. I don't know the order :(

Wow. WOW. That many books.. no wonder I haven't read it yet! And also, I have to break up mortal instruments and read tID in between was that how they were published? I'm confused...

So well basically TMI was supposed to end with it's third book. Then cam TID, but then Cassie continued TMI

I read this already in December, but I'm going to continue with the series. I have watched tv-series and it has been quite many months since I read this but for me it was okay and I simply love the world so much. This wasn't fantastic but perfect for me when I had an influenza and needed something easy to read :D
