I remember a book when I was a child in the 70s and was wondering if anyone might have an idea what it was.
It was a line draw book, about a child. When he was born all the adults said what he could be, doctor, lawyer, president, but the boy didn't want to go to school. Years later he tells his mom that he wants an apple pie. So she sends him to the orchid to get 10 apples. Since the boy never went to school he couldn't count 10 apples. The story ends with him sitting in a desk that he is way to big for with all the children around him sitting in their desk in kindergarden.
