After escaping a harsh school where punishment was the lesson of the day, seventeen-year-old Louisa Ditton is thrilled to find employment as a maid at a boarding house. But soon after her arrival at Coldthistle House, Louisa begins to realize that the house’s mysterious owner, Mr. Morningside, is providing much more than lodging for his guests. Far from a place of rest, the house is a place of judgment, and Mr. Morningside and his unusual staff are meant to execute their own justice on those who are past being saved.

Louisa begins to fear for a young man named Lee who is not like the other guests. He is charismatic and kind, and Louisa knows that it may be up to her to save him from an untimely judgment. But in this house of distortions and lies, how can Louisa be sure whom to trust?

I really do like the characters Louisa in particular is the kind of character I love the headstrong and speaks her mind type she is very interesting so far. I am liking the plot even if not much has happened Louisa has made it to the boarding house met some people and has had a scary encounter. (hide spoiler)]

47% (view spoiler)[I am really liking this book it is very intriguing I like how the tales of fae and monsters are told as well I also like how the mystery is slowly being unraveled. I really like the characters they are interesting the more I read the more I like Louisa she is the tell it how it is when she can get away with it type. I am liking the plot as well it is very interesting so far Louisa has learnt more about the boarding house and why people go there. So overall this is a good book will read more soon. 72% (view spoiler)[ I am really loving this book it keeps getting better the further I get into it I like learning more about Louisa and learning things about folklore creatures and things like that while unraveling the mystery of the story. I am still loving the characters they all are so interesting and unique I have never come across characters like this. The plot is very compelling the more I read the better it gets. (hide spoiler)]

100% (view spoiler)[ I am now finished I loved this book so much this author never disappoints me this is my favorite YA Horror author. I really loved all of the characters so much I am looking forward to reading more about them when I read the next book. I loved the plot it was so unique I have never read a plot like it. 100% (view spoiler)[ Cool, creepy, and mysterious, though I don't know if I'd really classify this as horror, per se. I like the characters, and the world is interesting.
