I don’t read a ton of fantasy, but I adore the Raven boys, Six of Crows, and The Storm Crow duology (how do u spell that word?????🤷‍♀️😂) by Kalyn Josephson. I’m so excited to begin reading with all of u guys!!!

But I generally will give just about anything a go.

I JUST finished Addie LaRue and it's my favourite book of the year. Crescent City and The City We Became close behind. :D

I usually read urban fantasy and hard-hitting ya contemporary and I love the found family trope and tight friendship groups like the one in all for the game series. I want to get into more horror so I’m open to recommendations! My favorite fantasy is the raven cycle! I prefer standalone so I haven’t read a lot of fantasy/series but I also really like the six of crows duology, the folk of the air trilogy and the diviners!

Abby (readingrainville) (kindlyoutspoken) hey I'm Abby! I'm also from the US! my favorite books are usually thrillers, fantasy or contemporaries. I've recently started to read more romance. Im willing to try anything though.

message 10: by Kali (new)

Kali (llamajesusbooks) | 4 comments Hi! I'm Kali, and I'm from the US. I'm so excited to see that this readalong is a thing because I have been eyeing these books for a while now! I'm personally a huge fan of fantasy, primarily ya fantasy, but I also occasionally like checking out historical fiction as well.

I am absolutely terrible at choosing favorites, but I'm very fixated on the mortal instruments series as a whole right now because my current reread reminded me how special they were to me years ago. Another recent fave of mine would also have to be the kingdom of back!

message 11: by James (new)

James (james__reads_) | 1 comments I'm James and I'm from the Northeastern part of the United States. Fantasy is probably the genre I read the most of. It doesn't really matter whether it's Middle Grade, YA or Adult.

I've actually read the first book of the series before, but I never continued. So I'm really excited to finally get to the last two books in this trilogy.

My favorite fantasy books are Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor and A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi.

I actually do not read a lot of fantasy, but a couple of my favorites that I have read is the Caraval series and Serpent & Dove trilogy. message 29: by Lulu (new)

Lulu Bonning | 2 comments Hi pals! My name's Lulu, I'm from Australia but I live in San Diego, California.

I'm a serial bits-n-pieces reader. Put words on a page and I'll read it. Although, I do have a soft spot for historical fiction, particularly if there's a bit of mischief or murder!

Fantasy wise, I think I could read Phillip Pullman forever.

Very keen to read this trilogy! My only dilemma is which edition to buy - has there ever been a book with so many beautiful versions?!

message 30: by Heather (new)

Heather | 1 comments Hi everyone! I'm Heather and I live in Toronto, Canada.

I read a pretty wide range of genres but just started trying fantasy this year (although I read some when I was a kid). I haven't meshed with a lot of the fantasy I've read this year though, but The Bear and the Nightingale sounds really fun! The one fantasy I really fell in love with was The House in the Cerulean Sea (but who hasn't?!). Looking forward to reading this series together!

Ella (gabri_ella) | 3 comments Hello everyone! My name is Gabriella and I'm from Russia! This is my first readalong ever and I'm super excited to reread this beautiful story with all of you! Winternight trilogy is one of my favourite book series for sure!
To be honest, I read a bit of everything, usually it's depends on my mood. This week this is fantasy and two weeks later this is ''self help'' or psychology kind of books... So i guess i don't have favourite genre.
Can't wait to start this magical journey all over again!

P.S Sorry for my english. This is my first time when i interact with someone who actually native speakers (or with someone who just really good at english).

Line (storyline95) | 1 comments Hi! I'm Line (pronounced Lin-eh) and I'm from Norway. I usually read fantasy books, anything from middle grade to adult fantasy. Some of my favourites are ACOTAR (anything Sarah J. Maas really), the Percy Jackson series, Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor, and From Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout. message 44: by Kate (new)

Kate (pagesprose) | 7 comments Hi! I'm Kate! I'm from OR in the USA. I read books from just about any genre, but I mostly gravitate towards contemporary and literary fiction. Recently, I've been really into sci-fi and very light magical realism. I honestly have hardly read any fantasy...it's the only genre that really intimidates me. BUUUUTTT I want to read just about anything Meg raves about, so this trilogy has been on my radar for a while! I absolutely can't wait to participate in this readalong!

Bun (colortheoceanpink) | 1 comments Hi guys!! You can just call me Bun! I'm from US and I normally read romance books. I do like a variety of genres as long as there is some romance in them. I think it's easier to say what kind of books I don't like and it's scifi, nonfiction, and any books that has zero romance in them.

My favorite fantasy books at the moment are The Folk of the Air trilogy by Holly Black and The Winner's trilogy by Marie Rutkoski.

I'm really excited for this readalong since I've only read The Bear and the Nightingale and loved it!! I have a feeling and hoping that this trilogy is going to make it in my favorites list!
