: I am trying to add my work under my pen name A.B. Frost but it keeps bringing me to the other author with the same name. How can I have my book added under MY account and not other author?

1. Goodreads differentiates between authors of the same name with spaces before the last name.

2. You can claim this by going to the author profile page here: see: "A.B. Frost"

scroll down and click on the link that says is this you?

3. There is already an author with the same name.

4. This author profile has 2 spaces: A.B.^^Frost, where the ^ equals a space.

5. When publications are automatically imported from Amazon or other sources, the "handshake' between Goodreads and the other source do not recognize multiple spaces, so the work goes to the default 1 space profile.

6. You can post in this forum to have it moved, or you can add the book with the 2 spaces between your first and last name before publication. When you ask for assistance, it is helpful to include that your author profile has 2 spaces.

For future reference, the Adding New Books folder is for requesting the addition of books that don't yet exist on Goodreads. Moved to Book Issues.
