I need to read it!

Me too, I even have a physical copy(I read almost everything online :( I don't like doing that). But, my sister won't let me read it, and I don't know why. It's recommended for 12+ and I am 12. >:(

I finished the first one a couple days ago and I loved it! <3

LF, thats crazy! The most violent thing that happened was someone getting their eyeball taken out (it didn't go into much detail). And I don't think there was even any kissing in the entire book. Hopefully she'll let you read it soon :)

TwT I hope so too. All my friends have read it and have inside jokes about it and I haven't read it yet.

ok just wanted to pop in and see what everyone's opinions on the characters were! i, personally, LOVE them! who are your favorites? who don't you like? i'd love to know :)

I can't decide if I like Inej or Nina more. They are both badass queens in my book! <3

As for the one I don't like. Please don't kill me, but Kaz Brekker... I know that everyone loves him but (view spoiler)[ the way he refuses to tell the team his true plan was infuriating to me. He could've gotten them killed by withholding information! And what if something had happened to him? Then they would have been left stranded without a way out because he didn't tell them the plan. Plus he referred to the Queen Inej herself as a pawn. (hide spoiler)]

interesting! i love nina and inej so much! i totally see your point with kaz, though... i think my favorites are wylan and jesper. they're both fun to read from, and i relate to wylan A LOT (i think we're the same person). i love everybody in these books so muchhh

Six of Crows is one of my eternal favourites... I love all six of them, though Kaz is definitely my fav, and for some reason, I like Matthias a bit less. I like Jesper and Nina flirting, Inej and Jesper's scheming face, Kaz and Inej's chemistry...
I think I enjoyed the book because of it's multiple PoVs, they make the whole plot more intricate. And then there are the cameos from Nikolai, Zoya and Genya... I just LOVE the SoC series!!

i definitely agree with you when you say you liked Matthias a bit less... i definitely did not care at all when... yeah. the thing happened. i think he grew on me the second time around, though :) it's one of my favorite series of all time (possibly THE favorite, but who knows, i haven't read that many books)

What? Ahhhhhh Matthias was my fav! Not i Six of Crows, but I loved him in Crooked Kingdom! I think I love him so much because of that market scene! Where he was glowering at everyone and Nina asked him to stop and then he boomed "Hello little friend" To that old lady and they had THAT discussion! I was laughing soooooooo hard!

But I def think that Inej is my fav female character! I can't decide between Inej, Kaz, Nina, and Matthias, but I'm just gonna go for Inej since Nina wasn't a huge part of this book! I think that Inej is just the best...she is so wise but she's also so flawed and I love her! And that scene with her fighting the white assassin lady....

i too loved that market scene with Matthias! i think that swayed me upon rereading. and Inej is so sick! i think she'd be a great best friend

actually, i think everyone in the squad could make a great best friend in their own way... kaz would definitely hurt my feelings a lot lol... but everyone else would be so cool to have as a buddy

I really enjoyed this series! It had great world-building and characters, hilarious banter, cleverly written schemes, and so many unexpected moments! This was such a great story about rising up against all odds, not letting your differences or weaknesses define who you are, and working hard to get what you want. The characters in this series were also very unique, and the character development and interactions was amazing, especially with the romance included in the story. My favourite character would probably be Inej, but the whole crew is amazing. I’m looking forward to the Netflix adaption, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows series are brought together in one show.
