I started this, but haven’t gotten very far. I only read the prologue, but I wanted to make sure you knew that I was still with you on this!!! Loving it so far!!! Sometimes you can tell just from the prologue that a book is probably going to be epically awesome and I feel like this is going to be one of those!!

Ch 9 (view spoiler)[So far this is okay... it's entertaining no doubt, but nothing new is brought to the table - plot-wise and characters-wise. It's cliched but I am honestly having fun. I wish we got to see more of Emilia and Vittoria's relationship before she was murdered. I feel like we don't know Vittoria.
Now that the demon was summoned, I'm curious to see how it will play out (hide spoiler)]

Also, how do we know that the demon she found hovering over Vittoria really killed her? Maybe it fell in love with her and was trying to taste her blood out of love... Finished (view spoiler)[Okay... I'm kind of disappointed? This is a case of "it's me, not you". But I think I will read the sequel because there was a cliffhanger. What didn't work for me was the pacing, Emilia (she was annoying) and the romance felt a bit forced :( I did laugh out loud a few times because this book was entertaining haha

I predicted Antonio to be the antagonist because he really didn't do much in the book and he sounded sooo fishy. I actually want to meet Wrath's other brothers because they sound fascinating (hide spoiler)]

Idk who is taking part in this buddy read but I kinda wanna join if that's okay and if so then have you agreed about a set amount of pages/chapters to read daily because I really like to read at my own pace? (books this long usually take me 3-4 days)

I don't mind if you wanna do this by yourselves, I'm just shooting my shot here.

Oops sorry, only just saw your comment now! I prefer reading at my own pace too, I'd rather not set an amount of pages/chapters because I never know when I have time to actually read, and then just read a lot at once haha!

I started a bit early because I was on vacation and this was next on my buddy read list XD

Chapter 7

Nanna is crazy protective, but probably with good reason; she’s probably the one who stole the blood oath, the one who angered the devil or something. Vittoria will definitely turn to the dark arts/evil; she’s already so dark. It seems like she’s already involved with one of the princes of hell or something, since she reacted so weirdly to her grandmother talking about them. Idk.

Lol okay Vittoria is dead. I really kinda liked her though. The dark haired stranger is soooo obviously a dark prince, he has the dark aura and all. He’s also obviously not the killer, since there wasn’t any blood on him except what he was tasting, and no blood on the dagger. I’m kinda annoyed with how stupid Emilia is, I’m not going to lie. She also thought he was looking at her boobs (are you serious girl?) while he was OBVIOUSLY looking at her amulet instead of checking her out. Man she’s stupid. He knows she’s a witch and didn’t kill her (which he veeeeery easily could have) so it's obviously not him who killed her sister. Also, if she thinks Vittoria was hiding something, why doesn't she just read her diary?? (hide spoiler)]

I actually started reading this already and I'm almost finished because I got locked into isolation and got bored. It's really good book and I wouldn't mind reading your comments about it as you read through it.

I don’t know anything about demons, but I’m pretty sure that using your own blood could mean you bond them to you or some shit. And using the dagger - the ‘out of this world’ item THAT SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW AND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IT COULD DO ALAKDBSODJEOWNEWOQOXJNSA.

Well at least she finally figured out what he is 🙄 she’s still stupid, but I’m glad she didn’t accept his blood trade. He seems kinda cool tho not gonna lie hahaha

Envy sounds like the one who killed her sister, since he made her want to cut out her heart. She’s definitely going to be the next witch - the one who will marry Pride.

So their Cornicello’s are the devils horns? Okay then.. also, she doesn’t want to read the last day in her sisters diary? Seriously? This might contain clues of where she went??? Man Emilia is so stupid to me. And now this, her grandmother was almost killed and she’s like ‘ah it’s all my fault bla bla’ while it’s so damn obvious that her grandmother isn’t innocent? She’s definitely the one who crossed the devil or some shit, and she’s the one who placed the amulets around their necks and knows what they do.
