Buddy Reads (AND MORE!) discussion

You know, one of the main reasons I want to read it is cause' it's mentioned in The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise. :)

Me too! Wow, I haven't heard of that book but it looks interesting. Well, every book looks interesting to me lol. My tbr is like a giant book dump.
Anyway, how many chapters do you want to read today? Or should we just read however much we want to and discuss the last common chapter? (I don't have good self-control)

Okay! So some questions first?

1. How much pages or chapters do you want to read per day? Note that the book is 300 pages and the chapters are short
2. When do you want to start? My book is summoning me with it's presence and is yearning to be read.....
3. What should I call you? Or do you just want me to call you "yaybooks" all the time lol?

I was thinking maybe we can do...50 pages per day? -What do you think?- And if the temptation strikes me to read further (which happens very often) I'll hide it under my pillows or something. Then maybe we can discuss every 2 days, or when ever the urge to talk about a chapter or something comes. :)

It's amazing. It's heartbreaking. I may or may not have cried. How is it it that the author could accomplish it with 50 words per chapter? I love everything and I can't speak or do anything right now lol

Also I was thinking that maybe we should base the amount of pages that we read on our day. Like, if one of us has like a mountain of work we'll both read like only 30 pages, but if it's a weekend or something and we're both free we'll read 70 or something. 50 pages as the usual though.

WHY, WHY, WHY??? First of all, a Ruby's story is soooooo SAD. They keep making me smile with her asking Ivan with jokes and jokes and cute stories, then KILL me with things like her parents killed by humans, and her still liking them! THEN WHEN IT WASN'T SAD ENOUGH STELLA DIES?!?!?!?

I actually bawled my eyes out when Stella died and Ruby told her story, and my brother kept giving me weird looks. And it's cool how Ivan describes his surroundings, and how he's just so fdidg amazing and optimistic! He can draw too?!

I also love how Ruby stills does not hate humans when they killed her parents. We have to learn so much from animals, haha. If someone just killed my parents I would flip out and go ballistic and never even utter the species name.

This book is just a ray of sunshine, y'all.

Today, it's a Sunday here at my place, (I dont know about you). But since I want to also do other stuff today I can read about 60 pages, which is from our current chapter "vine" to the chapter "one more thing". :)
