Erin Morgan (spelling? Not sure as I listened to it) is pretty much the only remotely likeable character in this book.
I've said this before, but it's hard for me to really get into a book without at least one sympathetic character. The only writer I can say does that with success consistently is Gillian Flynn. Although I like Girl on the Train for the most part, I didn't like any of the characters. It makes me hesitate to read this. It's ok, though, because my hold hasn't come in yet!
I read this one back in 2018 so I can't really remember the details, but I do remember that the unlikability of the characters did not make the book better. I also listened on audible and I liked how they had different readers for different characters instead of one person making weird voices.

I did like Lena, but each time she was the focus her words and actions were frustrating. Wanted to tell "C'mon, Lena! Seriously!?"

You may be out of luck here, Kandice. If you proceed when your hold comes in, I am looking forward to seeing what you think.

The multiple narrators was good and I can say that the overall audio presentation was good. Sometimes I have to work around a bad audio presentation to make sure it does not taint my opinion of the book, but it was not a problem here.

I'm not usually a fan of "cast readings", but do like when there are two POVs and two readers are used for that reason.

Luckily this is whole sections by one narrator, not multiple narrators in one section doing the parts back and forth. I don't mind when it is whole sections, but when it sounds like a radio play I am not really that into it.
I am listening to Gaiman's Graveyard Book and there were two options on Hoopla - full cast recording or read by the author and I chose read by the author.

That audiobook is one of my favorites ever! I actually own it. I would listen to Gaiman read anything. Are you enjoying it? The beginning is fantastic.

I am enjoying it . . . which is rare for me to say about Gaiman!

Which makes me a little sad. :_("
Yeah, I know . . . Gaiman just doesn't usually click for me. I have hesitated to get to this one because none of my previous experiences have been all that great. But people have insisted I keep trying . . . and I may have finally had some success!
