Jade Mountain Academy discussion

*sad noises* I can't think of any good jokes for this, so just- I dunno, have fun.

Sand lay in his nest and looked around the cave.

Oyster walked into her new room and scanned it excitedly.

'I'm finally here! I can't believe they actually chose me to come to Jade Mountain Academy!' She grinned and looked over at a bed sitting under a window.

She pumped her wings and landed on the ledge, then sighed happily as a small breeze and warm sunshine sent shives along her scales.

Sand looked up at the female dragon. She seems happy to be here... he thought. Sand stood up and looked at the female. "Hello!" he said.

"Oh! hi!" She looked down at the dragon.

"I'm Oyster!" She hopped down from the ledge to stand in front of Sandwing. (he's a Sandwing, right?)

"What's your name?" She tilted her head slightly.

"Nice to meet you, Oyster! I'm Sandstorm. I go by Sand though." Sand said. He looked at Oyster.
(What type?)

((What exactly do you mean by that?))

"Nice to meet you as well! I just got here, how long have you been here? Have you got to explore yet?"

"Yes, I have! It's a big place." Sand said.
((What type is she? Sand, Mud, Sea, Night?))

((oh, Sea!))

"Really? Does it spread through the whole mountain, or just some of it?!" She asked curiously.

Oakleaf (Oak) walks into the cave a sighs. (He’s a Silkwing BTW)

Sandstorm turns and sees Oak. "Hello!" he calls across the cave to him. Storm turns back to the SeaWing. "Probably only half the mountain." he says.

"Wow... how long do you think it took to make it?!" She ran her talons along the wall.

Oakleaf walks into the cave a sighs, looking irritated. (He’s a Silkwing BTW)

(Jade mountain is a cave system, basically they just said 'wow some of these caves are big let's make a school' and the caves run al throughout the mountain)

(Nobody made the school, it made itself. Nature made it)

((Riiight, I figured it was that, but they still might've changed it in some ways))

(Not except for putting a bunch of stuff inside)

((Instead, imagine that Oyster is talking about the rain, or just whatever shaped the caves))

Storm looked at Oyster. "It was made my nature. And it goes through the whole mountain we only use some of it though." Storm said.

Oak looks up at Sandstorm “Hello.”

((oof, lol))

"Huh. What abou-." She turned and looked at the Silkwing.

Oak walks over to a pallet of leaves and sits down.

(FYI, Oak has gone through metamorphosis and he is a Flamesilk.)

"Are you a Silkwing? Like the new dragons from that other continent?!"

Oak nods. “Yes. And I’m a Flamesilk so my silk produces heat and can start a fire.” He smiles.

"Woah, really?!" She bounded over excitedly to stare at the Silkwing and study how he looked.

“Are you a Seawing? Everyone here looks SO weird! How do you fly with only TWO wings!?”

"Yes, I am." She grinned proudly.

"And it's easy! How do you fly with FOUR wings? Aren't they always getting in the way of each other? Isn't it uncomfortable when you sleep?!"

“What! No! It’s really easy to fly with four wings! They help you balance!” Oak spreads his wings behind him and smiles.

Storm watched the two talk.

“And my wings fold back against my sides when I sleep.”

"Aren't tails used for balance?!" She lifted her thick, eel-like tail up. "And how can you fir both of your wings by your side, they're already big enough on their own!"

“Why not both? And my wings fold down. Also, how do you SWIM with wings!?” Oak looks towards Storm. “And what’s that on your tail?”

"We just flap them and use them to steer through the currents." She shrugged, then turned to look at Storm.

“Oh. That’s neat!” He turns to look at Storm.

Storm looks up. " What?"

"He asked about your tail barb." Oyster pointed at his tail.

“Why would you need a tail barb?” Oak asks bewildered. “Is it actually attached to you?”

"Yes, it is. All SandWings have it. It's how we fight." Storm said. He shook his head and flicked his tail naturally.

“Oh. That’s interesting... Most Silkwings don’t fight. It’s not in our nature. I guess us Flamesilks could fight though...”

"Interesting... Us SandWings tail barb is poisonous so, do be careful." Sandstorm said. He wrapped his tail around himself.

Oak lets a piece of Flamesilk spin out of his wrist and drop to the floor.

"That’s Flamesilk."

Storm looked at it with interest. "Cool! Do you wanna come and learn the school with me?" he asked Oak.

"Sure."
