Final thoughts

Good grief, that ending! It’s been done a million times before & every time I am tricked into finishing a book that ends this way I am furious. A personal pet hate for sure, but I am so disappointed as I was loving the book up to the last few pages. Need to go away and simmer down because there are a lot of themes to unpack when I’m feeling a bit more generous towards this book again!

After having enjoyed this book enormously I found the shift at the end puzzling and as I had not guessed, unexpected. It rather spoilt the whole of the book for me.

Sorry, I have been quiet on this, I read this book earlier last year, so did not want to interact and spoil and then I got sick. Sorry that you felt the ending spoilt the book for you. For me it was the opposite, I thought the ending was brilliant.
