Jade Mountain Academy discussion

Be careful... This is the only cave that is connected to the Hall of Fame... This cave is unstable and unsafe... There seems to be a lurking silence around this cave...

Bloodspiller runs inside. "Whoa!" His voice echoes off the walls.

Skydiver walked in and looked around. It looked nice and homie. There was a tiny stream that looked safe to drink and a small area where it looked like a used sleeping area. "It looks like a dragon has lived here." she murmured looking around.

"Cool! I wonder where they are now?"

Sky looked around. "Let's go down the hall and see what we can find..." she said.

"Why? This place is nice and lonely." He smacks his tail into a rock, which wobbles then falls to the ground. "But- I mean, we can if you want."

"Yeah, I think we should go and check out the rest of the hall..." Sky said. She started to head out of the cave.

"Okay." He turns to leave, but something catches his eye. Ooh, it's shiny! He turns around, curious.

Sky looked at Bloodspiller. "What is i-" she paused. SHe looked at the shiny object. It was a necklace. "What's that necklace?" she wondered out loud.

bloodspiller hears breathing. He runs to find Skydiver.

Sky looked up. "What is it?" she asked.

He whimpers, mind filling up with possible futures. Some where they die. "Let's get out of here."

Dark Ice ran in. "Leave my things alone!" she roared angrily. She stood in front of her necklace protectively.

Skydiver backed away frightened. "Where did you come from?" she wimpered.

(I gtg for a little bit, I'll be back later)

Dark Ice lay in her den. "I wonder when my father will return..." she thought. She turned the necklace he had given her over in her hands. SHe sighed and put it back onto her neck and lay down.

Dark Ice got up and looked around. She went over to her tiny stream and took a drink from it. She stood up and left the cave.

Dark Ice padded into the cave and took off her necklace. She cleaned it making sure it was as shiny as it could be before she placed it on a rock she had carved in the corner of the cave. She went back to the river and bent her head beginning to take a drink from the slowly running water in the clear water.

She lifted her head and looked around before going over to her nest and laying down allowing her eyes to slowly allow her to drift into a peaceful sleep.

Solstice came in behind the strange dragon, he looked around the cave warily, and sat by the stream.

Dark Ice entered the cave. She could hear the soft noise of water coming from the tiny stream in the cave. There were a few small cracks in the roof letting in enough light to make the room comfortable. She went over to where her bed was in the corner and she lay down.

He looked at himself in the reflection of the water, and bent down to drink, guilt tugging at his chest.

Dark Ice was in her bed half asleep, half awake thinking about things.

He lay by the stream, his snout halfway in the water, blowing bubbles lazily. "This is a nice cave you have." He said, breaking the silence.

Dark Ice looked up. "Thank you...." she said. She had calmed down and was no longer fierce. Her voice was soft and calming now. "This is one of the three caves in these halls at the moment..." she said.

"Three?" He said, his voice muffled by the water, "I honestly thought there were more." He let out a humorless laugh.

Dark Ice smiled. "This part was never finished being worked on..." There were some caves started that I could finish carving out to make more caves but, I don't need them so I don't do that." she said. She had taken off her necklace and it lay beside her on a stone ledge.

He nodded, thoughtfully. "yeah." Solstice said and pushed his head further into the water, submerging himself up to his horns.

He lifted his head with a sputter and a cough. He shook his head, cold water drops flew from his head. He took a few breaths and submerged his head again, relishing the cold.

(He is part skywing so-)

Dark Ice watched him for a bit then went back to her natural thinking stage.

He snapped at a piece of debris floating, missed, and banged his snout on the side. He lifted his head from the water. "Ow-"

Dark Ice smiled. "You need to be a bit more careful I suggest." she said. It had been seven years since she had last spoken to a dragon.

He rolled his eyes, but a smile split his face, "I guess!"

Dark Ice continued on with her thinking.

He took a deep breath and blew lots of bubbles in the water, acting like a dragonet.

Dark Ice shook her head but she showed no emotions. She thought back to the days when she had lost her other necklace her mother had given her when she died.

He watched a shiny fish dart by, and wrapped his claws around it, but it slip away. "No!" He snapped his jaws around it, caught it, and placed it on the stone.

Dark Ice looked up. "Umm... I was wondering if you've ever seen something around the school..." she said. Her head was down showing she was nervous.

"Lots of things, could you be more specific?" He said, cocking his head.

Dark Ice nodded. She looked down at the floor. "Long long ago... When I was first left here 8 years ago... My mother and my father each gave me a necklace or a bracelet. My fathers is the necklace I wore when I met you... But, just recently, a little while back the bracelet my mother gave me disappeared while I was out hunting in the forest. I did everything I could do to find it... But, I never found it. The bracelet is a silver color and it's very detailed. There were also some very rare emeralds in it..." she said. She looked away trying to hide her feelings because she was weeping softly. A tear dripped down her face.

Solstice paused, his face paling with recognition. "I- i'll go get it." He turned, but stopped to look back at her, his face dark and unreadable, "Do not follow me." and left.

Dark Ice watched him leave. Does he know where the bracelet is? she wondered... He told me not to follow him as well... She cocked her head and felt the empty room emptier then before. She shook her head and stood up taking a drink before laying back down again.

He came in, clutching the bracelet in his claws, carefully. "Is this it?" He panted

Dark Ice looked at the bracelet. "Yes, it is! Where did you find it?" she asked she stood up and carefully took the bracelet from him.

He seemed nervous to answer, "I- I uh.." he chuckled, "It was just laying by a creek." He lied. He quickly turned away, and lay by the stream again, pushing his head deep into the water.
