First off, he was stuck up about being a prince and being royal. I guess that doesn't make him a jerk, it makes him a snob.
Second, he left Moon (and Kinkajou and Qibli) in Possibility. I know he came back but he still left and he only came back after he was practically banished from the Ice Kingdom.
Third, he wasn't ever really nice to Moon besides not freezing her face off (and that doesn't really count).
Fourth, he hated Nightwings. I know that was before he fell for Moon, but he hated the whole tribe for the death of his brother (view spoiler)[(which didn't really happen) (hide spoiler)] .

Qibli, on the other hand, was always nice to Moon and he stayed with her in Possibility when he easily could've gone back to JMA or Queen Thorn's stronghold.

I honestly don't care for most of the time, but I really think Winter was just trying to prove his worthy, since he uh *cough cough* was in the last circle for some time. No one DESERVES someone, they just think they do. I will go with whomever Moon chooses. Also Quibli on the other talon is just trying to be himself and hopes that moon likes him.

ALSO ALSO winter only hated nightwings because they so called "stole" their animus power, although prince arctic CHOSE to go with foeslayer.
