This is the first time I have read a book from this series and really enjoyed it. I hope I can get a chance to read others and will try Michael Pearce's Mamur Zapt series as well.

I knew nothing about the Cape Verde Islands and so learning the history was good. One thing I found to be interesting was that you can choose between going to a desert island or a mountainous island or take a ferry to switch between islands.

Sudan: The Mouth of the Crocodile by Michael Pearce
