Classics 2021
I'm in! My goal is to read 7 classics this next year, so that will put me in the Of Mice and Men level.
I'm in for 3-10 Classics- Of Mice and Men. Any classic readers feel free to recommend you favorite classic.1. The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
I made a promise to myself already to read at least 30 classic books this next year. So I am with Great Expectation. I really hope to reach this goal!! We will see!!
I have a lot of classics sitting here at home that I haven't read in a couple decades or at all so this is my year to tackle that group of books - I will be doing Little Women.1.

I haven't done this challenge in a few years, but know it would be good to read a classic or 2. I will aim for Pilgrim's Progress, with a goal of 2 books.

A question. I want to reread the Left Behind series. I want to count them as classics. I mean if they aren't know they will be. Do you think I can count them. Opinions will be appreciated!!
Christine- I would consider them Christian classics for sure. Also Emma I love that you started with that book. I have such fond memories of the chronicles of Narnia as my Dad read them to us when my siblings and I were kids!
I'm joining... 3-10 Classics.Starting with Anne of Green Gables, halfway thru Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book (madly in love with it) and may do a re-read of Les Miserables, which I did in French in Uni.
Will be interesting to read it a second time.. in English.
I am getting the Left Behind audiobooks so I have to wait until the books become available. This is driving me nuts because I want to listen to the books straight thru. Do you know anywhere I else I can go to get the audiobooks for free?5.

I’m in for Pilgrim’s Progress .. just have to decide on titles .. and one may BE Pilgrim’s Progress 😂.
Mid-year check-in: Goal of 1-2 met! This is largely due to using Audible for classics. I've read/listened to six so far. :-)

I know there is debate on "What is a classic?". I'm not too particular on this one, I'd say if you can find your title on a list marked "classic novels" somewhere, then that is good enough for me. (Non-fiction classics count as well!) Classics can take a while to read, so the numbers will be lower for this challenge.
Also one little addition, can you please ask a fellow book reader who loves classics to recommend a "classic read" for you. Please list it here- I'm excited to see what you pick based on a friend's recommendation.
Also, I have discovered the "What the Dickens" group on Facebook which is a classics book club put on by Christian authors Katherine Reay, Kristy Cambron and Sarah E. Ladd. That has been a fun way to get a few classics into my reading routine and they have great giveaways as well! So , just thought I'd let you classic readers know about that.
Here are your levels-
1-2 Classics- Pilgrim's Progress
3-10 Classics- Of Mice and Men
11-20 Classics- Little Women
21-30 Classics-Great Expectations
31-49-Classics- Emma
50+-Classics -The Count of Monte Cristo
This will be a year long challenge- who are our "Classics "readers?
Tracker will go live Jan 1- https://www.goodreads.com/challenges/...
