Hi there! My name is Casey Foye. I'm 38, from the US, New Hampshire to be exact. I'm a self proclaimed crazy dog lady, and I love to read, garden and be outdoors. Choosing a favorite book is SO hard, but The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater is definitely one of my top ten!
Hi! I’m Carly Cleair. I’m 38 and from the Midwestern part of the US. I work with young children and read tons of children’s books. My all time favorite book is The Giving Tree. I love a good novel! My favorite adult book I have read is Devil in the White City.
Hi! My name is Jessica, 39 years old and live on Staten Island, NY. I’m open to expand my reading and meeting new people
Hey y’all!! I’m Dandi! I’m 42 years old and currently live in south Florida, but I grew up in Oklahoma. I work at Whole Foods Market and have 4 kids, a pup, and a bird. I used to be a reader. Hundreds of books a year, and then I had kids and I just haven’t been. This year, one of my few real intentions is to pick up a book every day, so I feel like this virtual club is going to be great to foster that habit!
Currently reading The Splendid and the Vile and it’s awesome so far. My favorite book probably is the one that made me truly hooked on books and what they can do for me: Master of the Game by Sydney Sheldon. It’s one I return to when I’m nostalgic. One of my favorite authors is Ken Follett and I’ve read all of his work. I love suggestions and I can’t wait to meet and interact with all of you!
Hey o! My name is Kat and I live in WA. I’m a very slow reader but I’d really like to read more. I have 2 kiddos and run a small duck farm.
Buenos Dias! My name is Yesenia, I am 28 years old and I was born in Mexico but reside in Utah for the last 25 years! I love to read, hang out with family, and journal as much as possible. It's hard to say my favorite book, because there are a few that I like. I am a big fan of Mary Higgins Clark, Nicholas Sparks, J.K. Rowling. I look forward to hearing from each of you and I am excited to participate in this virtual Book Club.
Hi All, my Name is Casey and I am a therapist and mom of 2 in the Midwest. I love to read, but since having my second child my To Be Read list keeps growing and growing. I belong the the Book of the Month club and love the books I get to pick from them, especially anything Si-Fi or Historical Fiction.
Hi! I’m Amber, 37, and I’m an HR Director in the cannabis industry in Oregon. I have read 73 books in 2020 and I want to get past 75 in 2021.
Hello! I'm Andrea. I'm 55 and live in Massachusetts with my 2 dogs. I love to read and journal, but lately both have trailed off a bit. I'm excited to get back to both! It's really hard to pick a single favorite book, but some of my favorites are Pillars of the Earth, Pride and Prejudice, and the Harry Potter books. I'm looking forward to participating in this group.
Hi! I’m Kelly, 38 from Bristol, UK. One of my goals is to read more this year so am looking forward to having a group of like-minded people to help motivate and inspire me! Hard to pick a favourite book but the best one I read recently was “A Little Life” by Hanya Yanagihara.
Hi everyone! I'm Eric. I'm 52 and I live in Northwest Arkansas with my wife and two dogs. I work as a digital marketing content specialist for a large logistics company and prior to that, spent most of my life as a newspaper (remember those?) writer and editor. I enjoy music, sports, stand-up comedy, cooking, traveling, and of course, reading. I've loved to read for as long as I can remember and spent my teen years working in a public library. Life and other distractions have pulled me away from reading as much I used to, but I'm determined to fix that in 2021.My favorite types of books include suspense, mysteries, crime fiction and biographies. My favorite authors include Michael Connelly, Doug Preston & Lincoln Child, and John Grisham. It's tough to single out one favorite book, but my short list would include A Painted House by Grisham, Still Life With Crows by Preston & Child, and the Tiger Woods biography by Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian. Looking forward to participating here.
Hello everyone! I’m katelynn. I’m 28 years old and live in Alabama! One of my goals for the new year is to read atleast one book a month. Excited to join y’all and have some fun while doing what we all love!
Hi everyone! My name is Melissa. I’m 26 years old and I live in Chicago (US). I am a registered nurse! I love to travel, spend time outside, boating, and beach volleyball. I’m an avid reader and completed 42 books in 2020. I stay pretty busy with work and grad school. I am also new to the passion planner for 2021 and am so excited to start my journey!!
Hello, my name is Theresa Berry from North Suburbs of Chicago, IL. I have been in love with book reading although I have not been good with catching up with it. One of my short goals for 2021 is to read at least 2 books per month. I hope I can achieve it with the help of this group. ☺️
Hey all! I'm Valencia. I'm 26 and live in Mississippi. Reading is a way of life for me. It's some of the only joy that I get in a day. I'm so excited to be in this book club with you all!
Hi everyone! I’m Keisha and will be 36 next weekend! I’m in the US where the constitution was signed lol. I don’t have a favorite book, but I always loved reading. I have a mini library going, but there’s a lot of science/IT books right now.
Hey everyone! I'm Jen, 42. I have loved to read since childhood and read just about every genre. I'm not as prolific as some of you (72 books in a year...wow!!!) but I am trying to read an average of 10 books a year now depending on length. I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's ideas and suggestions!
Hi everyone! I'm Julie. Looks like I'm the old one here. I'll be 59 on Saturday, which is ridiculous. I don't feel all that different than I did at 25, but I have lived a lot of life. I live in San Diego, CA. I have just retired from teaching high school history and economics, and was just thinking now I finally have time to join a book club, but didn't know how to find a virtual one and here we are! Hobbies are reading, hiking, riding my horse, making handmade greeting cards, listening to live music (husband is a musician), puttering around in my yard.June 7th, 2020 I had a hemorrhagic stroke, and spent five days in ICU. I don't have high blood pressure, or any other stroke risk factors. Apparently, I am making an astoundingly good recovery. I'm almost completely back to my old self now. The stroke, combined with an early retirement incentive from the school district I worked for, lead me to retire about five year before I thought I would.
I have always been a voracious reader. I read everything and anything. Now that I am retired I will probably be reading a couple books a week.
My favorite book of all time is Fahrenheit 451. When I taught 9th grade English we read it every year. If you haven't read it lately, you really should! And keep in mind that it was originally written in 1950 as a short story. Prophetically spooky!
I'm happy to be here and looking forward to getting to know people.
Hey everyone! I’m Michaela... I’m 31 and from Ohio. Lately my hobbies have just been reading, playing animal crossing, journaling/planning and taking care of my houseplants. I’m looking forward to being in this group!
Hi everyone! Happy 2021! I am Rabina 51 from UK. Mum of 3 and a trainee teacher. I use to love reading but since having children dont seem to find the time. This is my first book club and excited to start reading for fun again! 😊 x
Hi everyone! I’m Christy and I’m 22. I’m from the U.S. One of my new years resolutions was to read more and find a community that makes me feel fulfilled. Hopefully joining this group will help me out with that. I’m looking forward to talking with yall :)
Hey! I'm 27 and near Atlanta Georgia but from Minnesota. I have a 4 year old and hoping to adopt a toddler from Colombia soon. Happy to join you all! Will there ever be Zoom meetings?
Hello everyone! I'm Valeska, almost 33 (in a week and half). I really enjoyed reading and did a lot of it during my commute to work, but since the lockdown and work from home started I really didn't read much since the March. So excited to start again. I have a couple books on my to read list already! Looking forward to interacting with you all :)
My name is Kat. I’m 35. Currently residing in Cali. Mom of three of the cutest and sweetest boys ever. I love reading and knitting and planning. Oh and eating Mexican abs Puerto Rican food. Nice to meet all of you.
hi Everyone. I am Deb, Julie I took your spot as the oldest one here, I will be 62 in March, doing the official retirement as I have been retired from my job as a PM in Telecom since 2017. My husband and I have been full-time RVers since 6/2018, currently, we are in Texas in Hill Country. I am bad when it comes to reading, before we hit the road I was in a book club which helped me at least read a book a month. Hopefully, this will help me get back into reading.
Hello, everyone! My name is Ebony hailing from the Bronx. I'm 24yo, some of my hobbies include reading, djing, photography, and watching horror movies. My favorite book at the moment is "God Save The Queens: The Essential History of Women in Hip-Hop" by Kathy Iandoli."
Evening, everyone! My name’s Andrew. I currently live in the Atlanta, Georgia area, though I’m originally from Staten Island, NY.Rather embarrassingly, I don’t get the chance to read that often. It’s a shame because, when I truly get the chance to disconnect, I can lose myself in a good book. (I’m sure the same applies to many of you!) So when Valencia invited me to this book club, it made me really excited! I’m looking forward to some of the dialogue we’ll all have together! In this age of COVID, I think it’ll be a great way to find connectedness!
