Sounds amazing! I have ordered the book (local stores closed due to lockdown) and can't wait to read it :)
So excited to start reading this during January. I read Aurora Rising during december and I enjoyed Amie Kaufman's writing style, so I'm hoping that I will also enjoy this novel as well. Happy reading everyone!
Ooooh can’t wait! I know that Amie and Jay Kristoff together make an amazing duo, I’ve read some of Jays soul work, I can’t wait to see a little more of Amie and her writing style with a different author! I’ll get it on my birthday shop!
Looking forward to start reading this book and to discussions in this group! Just ordered off Indigo and anxiously await its arrival in the mail!
I have been anxious to see the first pick and I am so excited that it is a) a book I have never heard of and b) a book that looks like it will be a wonderful read.
This book sounds amazing! Howls Floating Castle is one of my favourite movies and I loved Spirited Away. Currently checking my local library for a copy...
I just ordered my copy too and looking forward to meeting new characters in a book I've never heard of before!
I am still on a wait list for this book. down to #2, I hope it comes in before the end of the month!
I'm wondering when then Feb book will be decided. Depending on which book it is, it might take some time to get here :/ bookstores and libraries are closed here until mid Feb at least, so I'll have to order online if I don't happen to have it already.
Yes. It's really difficult to get your books on time at the moment. Especially when the bookstores are closed until the end of February

“Prince North’s home is in the sky, in a gleaming city held aloft by intricate engines, powered by technology. Nimh is the living goddess of her people on the Surface, responsible for providing answers, direction—hope.
North’s and Nimh’s lives are entwined—though their hearts can never be. Linked by a terrifying prophecy and caught between duty and fate, they must choose between saving their people or succumbing to the bond that is forbidden between them.”
When I first read this book a month ago, I knew it would be the perfect way to start 2021. It’s a story about worlds colliding, empathy and learning to listen and learn from others who couldn’t be more different than us. The magic and whimsy of this world is strikingly similar to Miyazaki’s work, especially films like Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away, and as a huge fan of these films, I fell in love with this book instantly.
There will be two different discussion threads, one for discussing the book spoiler-free. And one for discussing with all the spoilers! This one is best to use after you’ve finished the book, but you can jump in mid-read as well if you like!
