Happy New Year SOSers!!! Reading
by Nalini Singh and working my way thru the In Death series... up to #27, Salvation in Death by J.D. Robb
:D Yay Alicia!I finished my re-reading of Moon Called last night. Loved it.
Read a couple of new shorties and deciding what else I feel like reading.
I'm scattered too, AliciaJ. Off to a slow start 'cuz nothin' is sticking when I pick it up. I started to return to Elliott James' Legend Has It (read #4 in 2016), but looked him up to see what's been released since #5 and nada. Author has stopped writing, I guess. :( So, I'm gonna keep #5 on the back burner a bit longer.I settled on Veiled so that I can read the newest additions to Halle's EIT series. I was so surprised to see she'd returned to EIT. :) (Ghosted & Came Back Haunted)
ETA: I forgot to mention, I read Devon Monk's Wayward Souls and recommend it. If you read Monk's Ordinary Magic series, this is loosely based on it. This one takes place on Rt 66, there's mention of the town where gods vacation, etc.
Currently listening to The Turn: It begins with death by Kim Harrison and then moving on to the Mercury pack Shards of Frost by Suzanne Wright.
I just finished The Adversary, it was great to hang with Pia and the gang again, even if the book was too short. I hope she comes out with a full length novel again soon.
I've on a non humanoid mate thing lately so I'm reading I Married A Lizardman. Question! I've seen a lot, but never read, rejected mates theme lately. I know it's been going on for a while but I don't see the appeal. Whenever I go read reviews for a title in this genre I get widely divergent opinions. Why would you read about someone constantly being put down, rejected, set aside (or simply picked up when convenient)? Is there a title really worth reading in this genre without having too much teenage angst?

I've heard fab things about that one, I hope you like it, it's on my TBR.
I recently read these two by her and really enjoyed them imensely.

I have read a couple of them, and tbh, they have been more about personal choice and moving on to better things. One that I think of in particular is a PNR series Rejected by Jaymin Eve. It's an ongoing series, but the first three books are feature the same couple, the female being a rejected mate. This one is more about choice over fate in the fact that we can choose our fate, imo.
Under the Red Moon
So i wrote a brand new dystopian fiction novella e-book.. The concept is pretty out there, but I think it's interesting and relevant.. The name is "Under the Red Moon" and I'm super proud of it.
.
Writing this book was a labor of love and the writing process was totally worth the effort, and I think you guys will dig it.

I just finished the amazing last book A Veiled & Hallowed Eve in the Soulbound series by Hailey Turner. I loved it, even though it's really sad that it's the last book.
Since I saw the movie Dune I've been waiting for the audiobook from the library. It's going to take a while.
It’s the same trader than Game of Throne I think. It’s a multi cast audiobook. It really help to have seen the movie , I can grasp more readily the political undertone and intrigue.
