Happy New Year everyone. Hope it's a good one and a Bookful one for everyone too. i just want to remind everyone to go over the the 2021 Determination Plus Thread for the year and sign up. You don't have to decide on your books ahead of time and we we make it very easy for you on the top 10 you could use whatever you decide. The bonus part with the 11 prompts is finding a book that fits the prompt. Believe me if I can do it anyone came.
I'm still deciding on what my current reading list is. I already have a few listed on my Goodreads current list. There is one book listed on there that has been put to the side for time being. I just don't want to remove it from my current list. What the list is so far is below.NR: Indiscretion by Charles Dubow (print owned)
Holding out for a hero by HelenKay Dimon (print owned)
RoomHate by Penelope Ward (ebook)
Heather & Mike: The one that got away by Joan Joachim (ebook)
Fortune and Glory by Janet Evanovich (ebook)
Big Magic: Creative living beyond fear by Elizabeth Gilbert (audio cloud library)
The christmas Kid by Pete Hamill (owned print arc)
Out of the Storm by B J Daniels (cloud library ebook)
One off to side is
The Love of a lifetime by melissa Hill (started in summer and was having a hard time but it was from a neighbor at shore and she said put it aside but for another time since it went into holiday so I'm going to still give it time. she said it's good.)
I also have 2 library books that I want to read that might or might not go back unread (also have 2 other's enroute).
The House Swap by Rebeca Fleet and
He Started it by Samantha Downing
I guess I have enough on my current list.
I'm going to try and do my own Weekend Reading Marathan saturday and sunday (if I can stopping going and checking the internet and You tube videos)
NF: Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert (audio)Good start to day. My weekend reading marathon one book down (woke before 5am and finished a little after 6am.

Possible two arcs will be added in this week.
Possible enroute library books will show up this week.

I'm just in the very beginning of Deep Into the Dark, but am really liking it so far. It's challenging my vocab a bit, but that's a good thing!
How are you liking The Art of Violence? I have that requested at the library!
Dawn ( and Sherry) I'm glad to hear the new PJ Tracy is a good one, and see it may be a new series. As for SJ Rozan's The Art of Violence: A Lydia Chin/Bill Smith Novel, I enjoyed the new Bill & Lydia book and highly recommend. The audio narrator was not a perfect fit for my ear, but the story and dialogue were great. ( and i eventually got used to the narrator) it wasn't so much a female narrator for a mainly male pov (Bill) but the only slight voice change between characters.

Le Chuck wrote: "JF: Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King (what a great read and completely twisted. Will read the rest of the Hodges series for certain!)NR: Watching the Dark by Peter Robinson"
Le Chuck: the Hodges series was indeed very entertaining. I think there was also a TV miniseries made from what of the books, I'll have to remember to seek it out.
JF: A Bitter Feast on audio. I love this series and can't believe I didn't catch this when it was released.NL: Two Kinds of Truth. Slowly getting caught up on the Bosch/Haller series. I think I'll add that to my DL.

I never thought to find a Crombie on audio, I have been a fan for more than 20 years and thought A Bitter Feast one of her best.
Maureen wrote: "I never thought to find a Crombie on audio, I have been a fan for more than 20 years and thought A Bitter Feast one of her best. ..."
Maureen, audio is usually my first choice for a book and has been for some time. I especially love foreign country audios because of the accents.
Are you also a fan of Elizabeth George?

I added it to my Wish List on Overdrive too. Can't wait to see what you think of it, Carol.
I am slowly getting through The Talented Miss Farwell. It is not a bad book or anything but I just can't seem to concentrate on reading.

Melodie wrote: "Oh, boy! The Jimi Hendrix book has been added to my Amazon cart! ..."Mel and Sandi, I've read a little of his life but am looking forward to this. in the Foreword the author talked about his cover of Dylan's All Along the Watchtower and I had to put the book down and call it up on Spotify. Now I've got his voice in my head. Love Hendrix.
Sandi wrote: "I am slowly getting through The Talented Miss Farwell. It is not a bad book or anything but I just can't seem to concentrate on reading.."Sandi, the book really picked up for me at a certain point. But if it's reading in general that you're not feeling, I sympathize!
JF: Her Texas Cowboy by Pam Crooks (finished sat I think)Holding out for a hero by HelenKay Dimon (finished today)
