Anyone Have Thoughts On The Book So- Far

I liked the book, honestly mostly because of the characters it made the book very entertaining to read I could not stop. I cannot say I read a lot of romance, but this was so worth it.
I liked the first half of the book, but then it got weird. All of a sudden Daphne goes from knowing everything about men by having brothers, to being a complete idiot? The rape scene wasn't addressed properly and wasn't necessary.
Simon turning into a "wife owner" when he was angry (which also was never addressed) just left me with questions about his character.
If you had asked me during the first half if I would read other books in the series I would have said yes, but by the end of the book I was happy it was over.

yes it was just omg ....... why!!!
Emily wrote: "What Did You Think Of That Rape Scene ??"I absolutely hated that rape scene. It ruined the book for me. But I am glad that I kept reading the rest of the series. I really enjoyed the series.

yes agreeed
Victoria wrote: "What Did You Think Of That Rape Scene ??"Majorly off-putting to be honest! I tried to accept it on account of it being historical but, yeah, it wasn't okay and it was just entirely forgotten about by the both of them and glossed over. Almost wished for more of a conversation regarding it, and a proper apology instead of excuses about how it was an accident??
And yet despite all that...I'm still reading the entire series.
i think i liked the show more than the book. BUT I personally liked Simons character more in the book than in the show, specifically when it came to their early marriage (like once they knew they were going to be married all the way to their wedding night). I just think simon was much... happier, to be marrying Daphne than the way he acted in the show.
