This is a cave where foxes live...

Onyx was wandering around when she heard a yowl. She froze, unsure of what to do. Then she heard a cry and dashed off in the direction of the noise. Onyx saw a fox pinning down a young tom and launched herself at the fox, hissing, her claws extended. She rammed into the fox, digging her claws into its body. The fox twisted around, biting at her neck, but Onyx twisted her head and the fox's teeth caught her ear instead, making Onyx hiss in pain. Onyx and the fox continued to fight

The fox tried to bite Onyx's neck again, but Onyx growled and kicked the fox into a rock, then leaped on top of it, pinning it down. The fox twisted and squirmed, trying to get out of Onyx's grasp, but she held the fox firmly, her claws digging into its fur. Onyx's chest heaved as she tried to catch her breath, the fox still writhing and squirming beneath her paws

The fox writhed under Onyx's paws. The fox managed to rake its claws along Onyx's belly, and she yowled in pain, swiping her claws down the fox's side. The fox yiped, squirming even more now. Onyx glanced at the young cat helping hold down the fox, then ducked her head and bit the fox's neck. The fox twitched for a few moments, then lay still

Onyx moved away from the fox and shook herself, settling down on the ground so she could reach her wounds. She winced as she glanced at her clawed underbelly, then glanced up at Lloyd. "What were you doing out here, flea-brain? You could have been killed!" Onyx's voice came out harsh and she paused, giving Lloyd an apologetic look. "Sorry." she said, which was rare for Onyx to say, much less to a cat she'd never met

Onyx dipped her head. "Of course. It's what any cat would do." she said. She paused to lick the scratches on her underbelly, then looked up at Lloyd. After a moment's hesitation she spoke again. "I'm Onyx. It's nice to meet you." Onyx said, getting to her feet and shaking out her pelt

Onyx glanced at her scratches and saw they were still bleeding a little, forming small puddles of blood on the ground below her. She noticed that the cobwebs Lloyd was talking about were wrapped around his tail, but at the moment Onyx really didn't care. A part of her didn't want to accept the cobwebs, and another part knew she needed them. With a sigh Onyx sat down again and nodded to Lloyd. "I guess I need them." she said, glancing down at the scratches on her belly again

"Thanks." Onyx said, standing up. She followed Lloyd's gaze to the fox, walking over to stand beside him. "What is it?" she asked, glancing at Lloyd, then padding up to the fox.

Onyx noticed Lloyd's expression. "Hey, calm down. Everything's fine." she said gently, touching Lloyd's shoulder lightly with the tip of her tail. She glanced at the fox and nudged it with one paw, but it still didn't move

Onyx looked around. "I don't know. Usually they're together." she glanced at Lloyd. "I guess we got lucky." Onyx said, keeping her senses alert in case there were more foxes. Her jaws were parted slightly so she could taste the wind for any scent of foxes

Onyx met Lloyd's eyes and nodded. "Yeah. Something seems kinda... off." she said, glancing around

Onyx followed suit, taking small steps away from the fox, never taking her eyes off of it. A low growl rose in her throat, the fur on her back bristling

Onyx hissed, unsheathing her claws. Another rustle came from the bushes, and Onyx only paused for a moment before bolting after Lloyd
