Books or movies?

I love both of them!
I have watched the movies countless times, everytime it comes on TV I watch it.
Books are almost always better than their adaptations and same goes here, books have more storyline and more depth.
What I loved most about the movies were it's cast. Whenever I reread the books I imagine Harry Potter as Daniel Radcliff, Hermione as Emma Watson and so on .... all the actors were brilliant!

I feel like I'm going to get hate for this, but I like the movies more than the books. I'm not the biggest fan of JKR's writing style and after JKR's online posts, I've found myself more drawn to the movies than the books because they remind me less of her. Also, the Harry Potter soundtracks are legit my favorite thing in the whole world.

i watched the movies a thousand times but i have to say the books are better in my opinion... there were interesting and important things that were left out the movies and some of the characters were totally done horrible in the movies (*cough cough* ginny) but both are amazing <3

Definitely the books!

I liked the books more. I didn't find the movies interesting enough like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings movies. But by no means it was boring, just that something was missing from the movies.

Love both. However, I like Ron and Hermione book versions better.

Ron is more annoying in the movies, and Hermione is too perfect in the movies.

I also didn't like the way the tone of the movies changed at movie 3. I missed the robes and feel of the magic prior.

of Course I loved the books more and felt if I hadn't read them I wouldn't have understood the movies as much. Like where did Fred and George get there money to go into business. But I have to say eventhough I loved the books I felt the movies were excellent. Until this day these movies where the best movies that were based on a book. Great movies and a great books series!!
