She was definitely naive to think she was going to be able to find Kami and protect her from Richie Lorenzo and the others who were looking for her. She was also stubborn about not asking Patrick for help.
She was soooo naïve. And stubborn too. With plenty of TSTL on top of it all. Patrick was such a good son to do as his mother requested and what he gets in return is a crapfull of attitude from Elle.
I think her stubbornness was born from that naivety. Elle was maddening in her cluelessness. Why she couldn’t imagine these people being dangerous was beyond me. She had a history of being a handful growing up and I guess she’d never paid a price for it.
I agree, Anita about there being plenty of TSTL. For an educated woman she was pretty illogical most of the time.

I agree Elle must not have suffered consequences tough enough to make much of an impression on her. Elle seems to be a very "my way or the highway" type of person. Patrick is going to have his hands full with her.
I honest think she was naive about the danger. She felt like she knew these kids and none of them would do her harm.Kudos to Patrick for sticking around to help regardless of her stubbornness.
God only knows the reason he was so attracted to her. I get he remembers her when they were younger, but she is not someone I would have seen him hooked up with.
After the ordeal he went through with Lucy's kidnapping, getting blown up and being in a coma for two years he deserves an awesome woman and Elle just isn't it.
I know. Did you keep hoping she’d get better? I kept hoping and hoping...and then she cut him to the quick.
Yeah, I hoped she would get better, and was surprised how bad she turned out to be. Brennan is going to have to do some really good writing to redeem her. I don't want to see Patrick get his heart broken on top of everything he has experienced.

Patrick stops in San Francisco on the way home to San Diego to do a welfare check on Gabrielle (Elle) Santana, at his mother’s request. Though she was being pursued, Elle was reluctant to accept Patrick’s help. Was she naive about the danger or just being stubborn?
