After 2 years, I remembered the big twist but not a lot of the details. I wasn't even sure about the ending. I expect that we'll spend time discussing the Greek myth about Alcestis, so I needed to reread the book. I think I have a better appreciation of the mythology connection this time.

I recommend the audio for this book. The voice performances enhanced the emotions and tension in the story. I enjoyed the performance, and I liked that I could now see how he built the story with key details. I didn't remember anything about Alicia's family from the first read, so I had a few nice "aha" moments.
