Its hard to choose, because in some way, Christie was influenced by Doyle, so you probably wouldn't have one without the other.

Christie was far more prolific, and varied in her detective stories, so one could argue her work was both better and worse than Doyle's, depending what you look at.

I am the same. I have read Conan Doyle but his books don't seem to interest me as much as Christie.

Arthur Pierce | 20 comments Inasmuch as this is the Agatha Christie Lovers group, I can't imagine A.C. Doyle is going to get the nod. Now, if this question were to be asked in the A. Conan Doyle Lovers group, I suspect you'd see a different result.

Piyangie My apologies to all Christie lovers, but between them, it'll be Conan Doyle for me.

Carla (pikinina) | 72 comments In books I prefer Christie, but I enjoy seeing Sherlock Holmes cases on screen as much as Christie's books adaptations.

Renee | 447 comments I love them both! I would say for novels, it would be Christie. For short stories, definitely Conan Doyle. There are only a few actual Sherlock novels/novellas so he gets the edge in short stories.

Thom I frankly can't see how the two can be compared. Their writing styles are so different, not to mention the eras the came from.
