Ok I am very conflicted. I just want to see if anyone relates to how I feel, because I see most people like Mordred.
For Arthur, I did not like how he treated Guinevere at all. He neglects her, but for some reason I felt a spark between them and real potential. But he also barely got screen time and needs more character development.
For Mordred, I like how he treats her and how he puts her wants & needs first. But for some reason I felt something lacking and no spark. It almost felt like he wanted her, because she was the only other person who he knew had magic and a way to steal from Arthur. Can anyone resonate at all?

That is an interesting take.
I felt that Arthur had other priorities and was closed off. I felt the potential between him and Guinevere but I also felt like he could never put her first or rely on her fully.
With Mordred I liked him and Guinevere right away by the way that he looked at her as a person and got to know her as a person and not a Queen. Guinevere herself does not feel like a Queen and I think she felt comfort in being herself.

I can definitely resonate with this and agree. The entire first book I didn't really like Mordred and I definitely thought that Arthur and Guinevere had a chance at real romance. Now that I've read the second book I think that Arthur will just continue to neglect Guinevere. Although I don't mind Mordred and Guinevere together anymore, I still think that he just wants her so that Arthur can't have her. What do you think?
