Eve and Roarke's evening out is cut short by a call to a murder scene. As Eve works, Roarke sees a familiar figure at the edge of the crowd - an enemy from his past, Lorcan Cobbe, who has tried to kill him several times. Now it seems he is out to get Roarke once and for all, and everyone in his circle is in danger.

Yes, this was more of the formula, but once again the characters that I love come through in the same enjoyable way. I liked that we get to go back to Ireland with Roarke's family at the end, as it's been way too long since he last visited. I'm also hoping for more side stories with the children in Roarke's now open shelter and community center. I still wish she'd go back to keeping the antagonist's identity a secret because it's always fun for the reader to guess whodunnit, but for this story which was focused on Roarke's background knowing the killer from the outset worked fine.
