Comparable to House of Earth and Blood...

The City of Brass This is the first book of a fantasy trilogy. You get multiple character perspectives. I didn't like one of the main characters so his chapters required effort to read but that didn't ever make me want to quit on the series. These books have twists and turns that I didn't see coming.

Looking for a book with unrequited love... I just dont want the MC to get their love interest. 🙃

@Sreehitha - there's this book named Unrequited by Saffron A Kent. That's my favourite unrequited love book. But, don't expect the characters to be morally good...
But the angst and the whole vibe of this book is something I absolutely loved and I can never get over this story.
