Lyra and Sayuri enter the store

Sayuri widened her eyes at the selection. She had never been in a clothes store before

Lyra, who comes here all the time because she is spoiled, looks at Sayuri. "Why the surprised face?"

"Um...this is the first time I've been shopping." She fingered a green blouse with fish patterns

Lyra notices the blouse, "Yes... I see your fashion taste is horrible," she says without sympathy. "But don't worry, I'm your rich friend who has amazing taste."

"Not my fault that most of the clothes from the orphanage went to the older kids. And I was stuck with garbage.

"Oof," Lyra says. She throws an arm over Sayuri's shoulder, "Well? Pick whatever u want now, your bestie is rich!"

She felt herself blush ((wouldnt it be wild if they were half-sisters)) "I really dont know what I should go for.

"Don't worry, I got you!" Lyra takes Sayuri's hand and rushes into the store

Lyra started picking hundreds of outfits for Sayuri and forced Sayuri to wear all of them.
"Aaah, all the outfits are cute on you... There's only one solution then..." Lyra says dramatically.

She pretended to complain but she actually loved the attention

"We have to buy all of them!" Lyra says.

(Sayuri has a sunburst birthmark on the back of her neck. Maybe Lyra has a similar one, but opposite?))

She blinked at this. Someone didnt expect her to pay back?

Lyra, because of her powers, notices what Sayuri's feelings were, and suddenly looks angry. "Never ever think you have to pay when it comes to me."

"That wasn't what I was taught. I was always broke. That's really why I'm worried about the dorm. I can barely afford it on the job I got at Dairy Queen." Pulling one of the outfits over her head, a bit of her birthmark shown on her neck. A few bit of sunburst rays poked out from underneath her hair.

Lyra notices it and her eyes widen. "Sayuri, what was that on your back?"

"Huh?" She reached to touch the back of her neck. "Um...its nothing. The doctors said it was fine, just some birthmark.

"No... how is it shaped like..." Lyra says, confused and dazed.

"I don't know, they said it was a sunburst birthmark. They were confused because it usually had a twin." ((oooh twins!

"Oh... this changes so much," Lyra mutters under her breath.

"Um...so yeah. You're the only person besides the orphanage director and a few bullies who's seen it

Astor came in. He too was a orphan who went to the same orphanage that Sayuri went to.

Seeing Sayuri he came over. "Hey starfox, I was wondering where you went to.

Lyra is breathing heavily. Not believing what she saw, she barely noticed Astor

"Back off Astor, I'm here with a friend. Ack!" She was pushed up against the wall, Astor's arm holding her in place.

Lyra gets out of her trance and snarls at Astor, "Back of bitch, you don't want to see what these fangs can do."

Sayuri struggled against his arm. "Cool off stone face. I'm here for the allowance she owes me." Astor said bored.

"Why the hell does she owe you money, asshole?"

"Its to keep her sorry ass safe from the other bullies at the orphanage. Im like her bodyguard.

"Too bad, she doesn't need you anymore, she has me. So get out."

Sayuri opened her eyes confused. This girl barely knew her for a day and she's standing up to Astor? His nose sniffed the air.. "Theres the issue of money lady, she owes me 1gs

“Pfft, 1 grand?” Lyra says chuckling. Lyra fishes out a stack of 1 grand from her purse. “Take it and get lose.”

His eyes widened at this. Taking the money he sneered. "See you next week starfox!" He said before stalking out of the store.

Lyra shakes her head and with a scowl says, “Assholes like him should go to hell! Why didn’t you tell me, Sayuri, about your problems, I could’ve helped!”

Shivering she said, "I didn't even tell the orphanage director. Astor is a model orphan, no thinks he can do wrong." Small bruises were appearing on her neck

Lyra’s expression softened. “It’s okay, if he ever comes to you again demanding stuff just tell him that I’ll rip his fucking heart out with my fangs and drink his blood.”

A shaky smile appeared on her face. "Why are you helping me?" She hadn't pieced two and two together yet.

“One day I woke up in an abandoned house in Great Britain, not knowing anything of my past. Nobody helped me, I don’t want you to suffer the same fate,” Lyra admits

"Weird I woke up a fox in Surry

“RIGHT!” Lyra turns around to show off her birthmark, “I have a birthmark like you but it a moon.”
