My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh, man! I can't begin to say how much I loved this book!

It's about a 16-year-old poetry blogger named Tessa Dickinson. When she is involved in a car accident and loses her eyesight for 100 days, it feels like her whole world has been taken over by darkness. In her eyes, she can't do anything. She can't blog (which is what she enjoys the most) she can't shower on her own, she can't go out on her own. Tessa hates being helped and being dependent. So when Weston Ludovico comes into the picture, a boy who is an amputee, she treats him like any other human being. But for Weston, it's the most amazing feeling; to be treated normally, without pity in their eyes. So he comes back, again and again.

I won't say any more with the fear of spoilers. Now, my opinion.

Characters
Tessa was...incomplete. See, she thought her life was perfect until she lost her eyesight. It was nothing to do with the author. In fact, Abbie made it seem so...real. I found Tessa so relatable. Even though I have none of her problems.
Weston was the definition of sweet. Yes, Tessa misjudged him, but she was afraid. Even if he wasn't sweet, he was helpful. I found it so nice of him, whether he was sweet or helpful, that he tried to help Tessa, to show her that there's another way to live.

Plot
I really don't know what to say. I already summarized it above. I...just liked it.

Writing style
I loved it. I mean, it's what I'm most comfortable with and it's mordern. This means that 16-year-olds speak like that int the modern world. And I like that!

Random Thoughts
Ok, so I know I'm making a big deal of this but it was Modern. It's got computers and Safari and blogger.com. I find it fascinating to read about people navigating technology.

So, I'm against violence. I mean the description of blood sends a shiver down my spine. And yes, it's got it. But surprisingly, I didn't feel uncomfortable! It was described just the right way!

Romance. It wasn't too much nor was it too little.

Last line

It was just the right balance. With everything. It had me hooked. There's only one word to describe this...

Last word

EXCEPTIONAL
