I have mixed thoughts about reading this novel. I generally enjoy coming-of-age stories, particularly when they focus on mental health. However, the description of Layla's house in the Goodreads description is off-putting to me. I hope that the description of Layla's house as a biome is not a major focal point of this short novel.

Following the underprivileged and self-aware titular character, Finding Layla is a coming-of-age story that delves into mental health. This short novel promises to pack an emotional punch!
