I JUST FINISHED READING THIS BOOK!

Hello everyone, I have just finished re-reading this book and let me just say, it felt like I was reading this for the first time. I love that I was taken by the plot twists AGAIN.

There are so many things that I want to rant about and I feel like I need to make a video about this, but let me just say that this was so much steamier than I remember.

ALSO why was I so trusting of The Darkling when I knew some SHIT was about to go down. I fell prey to the fuckboi manipulation right along with Alina. Page 221....GIRL.

Anyway, this is just my general random post to say that I have completed the first book and I'd love to chat with you all about it.

I finished this on an audiobook and found it quite enchanted while listening to this world. The narrator made each character lively in my opinion and engaging to continue. However, I did hop on the bandwagon on disliking Mal, in the end of the book, and contine half of the second book.

Anyways, I just found the Darkling charming. I do not fault Alina for falling prey with a manipulative man like him and could see character growth along side him. Not gonna lie, I found the plot intriguing, but the sudden romance threw me off, quite well.

I liked Alina, despite what some say about her, when she was with the Darkling and learning to control her powers.

My favorite scene has to be when she finally lets go of her inner hold of her powers and slowly release it. I thought that finally letting go of her pass and Mal will only lead to great things

I fully agree with you on the disliking Mal part... he's just not it LOL

heyyy i just wanna say i feel like Mal is just in alina's head a lot and she always have to be careful around him to try not hurt his feelings.. it's like Mal aren't you supposed to be her best friend FIRST thennn whatever's going on between you two. im annoyed..

When he kept telling her not to use her powers, while they were hiding. I was pissed
