Not sure that I'm gonna make it to 75 this year, but I'm just gonna read what I can, and we'll see what happens! Happy reading everyone!

Just stay positive! And any reading done sure beats not reading at all! :) I love The Time-Traveler's Wife.

I agree with Elyse! The more I try to force myself to read the less enjoying I find it. I'm going to set a goal of 10 pages a day and see if that helps :)
February reads:O 'Pioneers by Willa Cather (audio)
Invisible Scars by Catharine Dowda
The Invitation by Jude Deveraux
Death of the Couch potatoes Wife by Christy Barritt
The Bonfire of the Vanities by Tom Wolfe
That's a good goal, Andrea. I seem to be in a big reading slump since the holidays. And now whenever I have free time and CAN read I usually opt to watch TV.... Which is odd for me, I've never been much of a TV watcher, always choosing books over TV, but not so much anymore. I am trying to read at least a chapter or two a day, but even that seems to be a chore for me anymore. :( right now I have the "want to want to read"...just seems like such an effort to stay focused on a book. Maybe I just need to take a break and not try to force it. Hmmm...

Maybe try reading some light, easy books? Or just a a break. Books will come to you. I wouldn't force yourself or anything. If you don't feel like it, you don't! :)

It's funny, cause I just started a book by Sarah Waters "Night Watch" and I'm hooked!! Sometimes it just takes a certain book to grab yah. :) I think I'm out of my slump.... Now if life would just leave me alone so I can get some good reading In That'd be great! Lol

Elyse, thank you!! It's so close... I'm in the middle of my current book, so I'm thinking I'll finish the challenge this week for sure.
75. Hunted by Karen RobardsI did not think I'd finish this challenge this year, but I have and I still have 2 1/2 months left of the year! This has ended up being a really good reading year!!
Thank you Andrea!! I owe a lot of it to kindle freebie novellas and audio books that I can listen to at 2x speed, so they go really fast! I really did not think I'd make it this year. Now I'm "unofficially " shooting for 85!

Yeah it's been a great reading year!! I'm (pleasantly) surprised at how much I've read! And to think my original goal for the year was 50! Ha! I think I'm gonna try and shoot for 95. What with Christmas and traveling and visiting with family these next few weeks, I'm not sure a whole lot of reading will happen. But we'll see!
Joy, it's so funny but I've been listening to some books at 2X the speed too...hahah It makes me nuts how things are pronounced though because it is an automated voice.
