The story is told by Molly, one of the names of the dog that has many reincarnations in both of the books. I really loved this preface. It creates great thinking and pondering both while reading and afterwards.

At the beginning of the book, it was Buddy. Who could not love Buddy. He was so adorable. It was hard to read the beginning because I kept looking at my dog. She's 13 years and has already lost her hearing. Clarity's mother Gloria was so rude and selfish. She was so mean to Buddy and I feared was Clarity safety.
