Certainly sounds like something questionable. Plus, what exactly is "technologically enhanced meditation?" The entire point of meditation is to go within to oneself, not via technology. At least as I see it.

Live the life of a writer!

The economics of publishing are radically changing. I don't know where we're going to end up; eventually the physical book may well be a museum piece. But I think the above comments go too far.

With Yankees Win, Triumph Books Goes to Press

It's not enough they win, they have to print a book.

The New York Yankees celebrated their 7-3 win Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies in game six of the World Series at Yankee Stadium, and by Thursday morning, Triumph Books, the Chicago-based imprint of Random House renowned for churning out full-color sports books on short notice, already had gone to press with two books about the team and its victory.

http://www.ecolibris.net/greenbooksca...

On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time over 100 bloggers will take a stand to support books printed in an eco-friendly manner by simultaneously publishing reviews of more than 100 such books.

Organized by Eco-Libris, this campaign is aiming to promote “green” books by reviewing more than 100 books printed on recycled paper or FSC-certified paper.

Here are links to the books and the blogs that participate in the campaign and the blogs reviewing them.

When Brevity Is a Virtue

Praise for a short-story collection often sounds a bit like disparagement. Great short stories are hailed as having "novelistic" qualities, a subtle knock that affirms the novel's place as the highest literary achievement and the final measure of a writer's talent.
