What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

The book is about a teenage boy who met a teenage girl when he was passing by the church and he heard her singing. The girl was part of the church's choir (I think), and the boy stood way at the back of the church.

These are the only things I could remember about the book. There are still some things I think I could remember but I am not sure if it really did happen in the story. I think the boy came from a poor, broken family and the girl came from a happier one.

However, I do remember its cover page. It is colored blue with combat or rubber shoes on it. I read the book in 2015-2017 (range only) and the book seemed old when I read it.

I'll Be There by Holly Goldberg Sloan has that cover in one of the editions:

It came up in a search (I haven't read it) but the summary mentions her being part of the church choir. It was published in 2011.
