Watching the movie before reading the book

I prefer to read the book first because personally after watching the movie I’m not as interested in reading it, but if I read the book first I still want to see the movie.
I mostly only watch the movie to see how the book was visually adapted but I don’t like to spoil the book by watching the movie.
i agree, the book has so much more detail so i think reading first is better!! that’s why if i’ve seen a movie and there’s a book i won’t read the book cause it feels weird (example of this is all the boys i’ve loved before, i don’t want to read the books cause i’ve already watched all 3 movies)

I prefer the original ones first, like if there is a movie adaptation of book, I will read the book first and vice versa.
I prefer to read the book first. Only once have I watched the movie before reading the book. (I always spoil the movie for my family by saying 'direct quote' or 'yeah. That didn't happen in the book...' Lol!)
For me, it's better to read the book first because I love reading books more, and it's not necessary, but my enjoyment is going to be bigger if there are no spoilers. Plus, I don't even watch movies that much. I'm just not that type of person.
I like reading the book first. For a few reasons- 1. I see characters a certain way, and if I watch the movie first all I can see is the actor. I can't accurately make a person in my head. 2. The book is usually better, and movies usually take away from that if I watch it first. 3. I watched Everything, Everything and sense I already knew the plot twist I did't even want to read the book anymore. So I missed out on the experience when the book was most likely better anyways.
personally i prefer reading the book first so that i can craft the characters looks and talking style and then watch the movie so i can get a new and fresh perspective

I personally think you should read the book first, but I watch the movie first a lot bc I have soooo many books to read. I feel like In the movies they always get something wrong...
