If you're planning to participate in Amish in April this year you can introduce yourself here. Also if you know what you plan to read you can share that here too.

Melinda | 45 comments This is the first time I’m joining in on Amish in April. This is because I saw a couple recommendations for mysteries. If I enjoy them I will read more in those series every Amish in April.
Assaulted Caramel (Amish Candy Shop Mystery, #1) by Amanda Flower
Sworn to Silence (Kate Burkholder, #1) by Linda Castillo
These two will get me a diagonal line with them both being contemporary for the middle square.

Monique the Book Geek (moniquethebookgeek) | 6 comments Hello, everyone! I've developed an Amish in April TBR, which I'm really looking forward to! This will be the first time I've participated in this challenge and my first time reading Amish books, although I've had an interest in reading this genre for years. I was drawn to the Amish Quilt Shop Mystery Series because I have a Frenchie that I adore and an interest in quilting. 🙂

Jamie’s Reading | 21 comments Hi Everyone,

This is my first year of participating in Amish in April. Great idea Elizabeth! I am going to try reading through a bind-up of “The Sisters of the Quilt” trilogy by Cindy Woodsmall. I read one of her Christmas books and really loved it. I immediately bought the bind-up and am anxious to read it.
Thanks for hosting Elizabeth. Happy Reading!
Jamie

Hello, Jamie. Thank you for following my reviews.

For Wanda Brunstetter, I have read her Amish Cooking Class trilogy and really liked it as others have liked her Amish Half-Stitched Quilting Club trilogy. This year I hope to start her Amish Greenhouse mystery series/trilogy; first 'greenhouse' book is 'The Crow's Call.

I would recommend The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club. I think it's a good place to start with Amish themed fiction because there is a variety of characters and only a few are Amish.

Nancy Abbott | 5 comments Hi Elizabeth. This is Nancy who you talked with on Discord. I started early for Amish in April so I have finished my 3 books. I read Assaulted Caramel and Lethal Licorice by Amanda Flower. Also Blessings in Disguise by Nancy Mehl. Loved all 3 of them and gave them 5 stars. I’m a pretty easy grader though lol.

Well, I don't know if you could call it a genre. It's more of a subgenre of a couple of others. But there are surprisingly a lot of Amish themed books out there now and more being published all the time. You may end up enjoying some more than others. I hope you find something that you like!

Jamie’s Reading | 21 comments Thanks for the recommendations Donna and Elizabeth. I really appreciate it.

message 17: by Leane (new)

Leane | 5 comments I finished Assaulted Caramel on 4/13.
I finished Lethal Licorice on 4/16.,
This covers the diagonal line for Cozy, Contemporary & Crime.

I enjoyed both books and rated them both 4 stars.

Melinda | 45 comments I read Assaulted Caramel, Lethal Licorice and Sworn to Silence for a diagonal line crossing out Cozy mystery, contemporary and mystery. I’ll be continuing in both series as I liked them a lot.
