Happy Monday! Hope everyone has a great start to their week.

A quick reminder that we're almost done with the first quarter of our challenge! If you're participating in the Take It or Leave It activity, please note that all your entries for this quarter's challenges must be submitted before end of day on March 31. On April 1, the next quarter challenges will go live and the past ones will no longer be available.

What is everyone reading this week? Over the weekend, I managed to finish The Lays of Beleriand which means I'm on track to finish the History Middle-Earth volumes by December (there's 12 so it's one a month). I also started Capturing the Devil which means I'll finally finish a series I started (if you know me, I habitually start series and never finish them). I'm also working on my annual Tolkien reread which I always start on March 25. So it's a good reading week.

What are you all reading?

The Lays of Beleriand (The History of Middle-Earth, #3) by J.R.R. Tolkien Capturing the Devil (Stalking Jack the Ripper, #4) by Kerri Maniscalco The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien

Why do you always start your Tolkien read on March 25th?

Suzanne (suzannesnowden) | 9 comments I just finished reading Observatory Mansions by Edward Carey and it was Weird with a capital W! But I loved it so much and will always remember the strange characters, setting and situations.

I am also reading Exhalation by Ted Chiang.

I'm sorry I didn't respond to this last week! I start my reread on March 25th because it's the date of the Fall of Sauron. It's also Tolkien Read Day. I like to theme my reading days, lol.

Hello. I am currently reading "MFA vs. NYC: The Two American Cultures of American Fiction" by Chad Harbach. Sorry for the late posting, I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather.
