Hi everyone! What books did you separate ways with and what pushed you to get rid of them? :-)

I hardly buy books, so never have the issue of getting rid of them. My bookshelf (which is basically a random shelf in my cupboard) comprises of 20 books, which I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of! :)
I used to regularly "clean out" my bookshelves to get rid of some older books/books of my childhood that I didn't have a connection to, but from the books I read now, the only ones I gave away were the first two books of the Outlander series because I really did not like them and knew I would never even finish reading them...
I constantly unhaul books. I unhaul books that I really didn't like and ones that I don't think I'll reread in the future. I never unhaul books that I haven't at least tried to read.
My bookshelf is limited, so when I own some that I did not enjoy very much (or those I don’t not feel attached to) I put it aside and donate them months. However, some of my 1-2 stars books have tons of annotations on page and I feel bad to give them with my notes on it. So, I hide those 😅.
@ATheReaderYes! Some I’d unhauled dare not necessarily horrible, but I think other readers will like them more. Sometimes, I even forget that I used to own them 🤣. I do unhaul those I DNF’ed though.
anything middle grade that doesn't fit on my shelf anymore goes directly to my little sisteri don't think i've ever
I’ve got a big bag of books waiting to go to the charity shop. I can’t even remember exactly what I got rid of 😂
