I read this book several years ago and it still gets to me. These murders were not publicized because this book is all about greed. The phrase "follow the money" definitely applies to this true story. This part of American history was swept under the rug because there was nothing moral or ethical about it. It's all about rich people trying to get richer and getting away with it at the expense of an entire family of Osage Indians. I would definitely recommend this read. It is a great book club book as well.
