To understand the present day murders, Sebastian begins by exploring the details of the Ratcliffe Highway murders and begins to believe that John Williams, the man suspected of having committed those crimes, may have been innocent. Given that this was a true crime but one where the author provided the factual evidence presented in 1811, did you land where Sebastian did or someplace different.

I answered this in a previous question (sort of). I thought that John Williams was innocent from the start. He was too convenient a scapegoat.

I agree, Sharon. First of all, one man could not have pulled this off. And, nothing pointed to Williams having the physicality to commit the crimes or suicide.
