Pippa gives her son to Sebastian to raise after she and Ryker decide to relocate to America. Why did she do this?

I think she wants a better life for her son. She knows that Ryker hates Patrick because he is Jamie's son. Ryker will abuse the boy if they stay together. As much as I love that Jamie takes him, I wanted to see a stronger Pippa. The few tears she shed didn't do it for me.

Pippa got in over her head and let Ryker take over her pub. She’s stuck with him and I believe she was worried for her son. She made a huge sacrifice here. She doesn’t have a lot of options for herself but she saved her son.

Agree with you both. I was surprised by this twist - it's making me very curious about how this will effect the future storyline. Just what is the author cooking up for the next book??!!

It will be interesting when Sebastian hooks up with his mother and has his son and Patrick. The three of them look like her former lover.
