Jade flew up, onto the second level and landed in her stall. It was roomy and welcoming to any passerby's. She quickly sweeped up in and around it, lit her lamp, and then got ready making food and trinkets. She set out fried banana's, bison kebab and much more. There were mixes of meats and fruits for all customers. Around her stall were little places to sit and eat. She went back again and made a few things of fizzy drinks, one tasted like strawberries, one like grapes and one like coconut and filled a few cups for her regular customers. She continued cooking until more dragons flooded in. Now all she had to do was wait. While she waited she knitted a few things, one was a dragonfly. She hung them up just before her first customer came, who was a regular.
Hibiscus flew through the Bazaar. He came here almost everyday, mostly because he had his own shop and stall but he didn't open it until noon time. Today he flew to his regular stall, first a cape shop where he recently started to sale designs to and then a jewelry stall where he wanted to check out a few different recent trends. As he past a few more stalls, he glanced around at all the dragons. There were several SilkWings of different color such as lilac, blues, yellows, lavender, and different oranges. He also saw a few HiveWings here and there. Hibiscus suddenly felt a bit self-conscious. As far as he could see, he was the only hybrid around. Though he didn't really look like it, anybody who knew what colors SilkWings normally were, could tell he was part HiveWing. Most of his scales were black and no other SilkWing could have black scales, it was common knowledge.
After a few minutes of hovering in the air, his head full of thoughts, he decided to go to one of his favorite shops, Pitter Patter. Hibiscus came regularly pretty much everyday and he got the same thing everyday too. Unless it was a middle day, then he got something different. Finally after a few more seconds, he appeared on the second level and he walked to the stall called Pitter Patter. He walked up to the tables and smiled at the owner who had been setting out her daily items to sale and he looked around until he saw the items he wanted. A cup of a drink that tasted like fresh and frizzy strawberries and also some fried bananas.

"Good Morning Hibiscus!" She greeted him, right as he came to her stall. "The usual?" She asked, turning to gather what he always got. She sprinkled a bit of sugar on his bananas, put a bamboo straw in his fizzy and placed it on the counter. "Oh! I made you something, just because you come here everyday!" She held out a little knitted flower. A hibiscus. It was a soft pink and the silk it was made from was her own. She placed it next to his order and then said, "All on the house." Jade folded her wings behind her back, her mixed eyes bright and cheery.
"Good morning Jade!" He greeted her brightly, "How are you today?" He asked before nodding his head, "Yep the usual!" he replied before smiling as Jade set up his order, "Oh really?! Aw thank you Jade it's beautiful, you didn't have to. Oh! And before I forget, I got you something since you're always so nice to me and you make the best fizzy drinks in the whole Bazaar" Hibiscus said joyfully as he reached into a silk made bag at his side. Inside, they were jewels and capes. After a few seconds, he pulled out a necklace with a light green jewel in the shape of a triangle, it was dotted with a few white spots. "I know it's not the best and probably not the finest but when I saw it, I thought of you and I thought you may like it?" He said with a slight question in his voice as he set it next to his order with a little nudge towards Jade. "Thank you!" He replied at Jade's last comment before he took his drink and took a big sip of it.
"I'm good, and you?" Jade turned to flip some more fried bananas on he grill and when she looked back she saw the necklace. "Awwwmygoodness!! Thank you Hibiscus, that's very sweet of you!" She picked up the necklace gently and slipped it over her neck. Unlike a lot of the residents of Jewel Hive, she didn't wear much jewelry. Maybe a cape or scarf but that's about it. She put her claws over the jewel and smiled at him. "Of course I like it! And it's my pleasure, anything for a friend." She tapped on a jar of chocolate thoughtfully. "I've been thinking of putting a new recipe on my menu, It should be sweet. Chocolate dipped strawberries maybe. Could I get you to sample them? Free of charge of course!" She wrote something down in her recipe book, which she had pulled out from under a counter.
"That's good! I'm doing pretty well. It's been a pretty normal day . Oh! I'd love to try that, it sounds amazing!" Hibiscus said as he set the drink back down and he moved his claws to hold the hibiscus Jade had made him, "You're welcome! I'm so glad you like it, I was worry for a second. I know you don't really wear a bunch of jewelry but I wanted to get you something you didn't already have. You have capes and scarfs and then you have delicious food. So, I picked that, the gem kind of looks like your scales, doesn't it?" He said with a sweet smile. He took a bit of the fried banana while he moved his wings to sides.
"Well I hope something crazy happens!" She laughed softly and looked down at the necklace. "I think it does! But that's what makes it special, it's like a part of me now!" She mad herself a small bowl of bananas and snacked on them while she worked.
Hibiscus nodded his head, "Oh yeah! Imagine if the Ladybugs decided to invade today" He said giggling. It appeared that he found a lot of weird things amusing. Like monkeys reading books or dancing ants. It wasn't hard to make him laugh either, "Yeah exactly! You'll always have the necklace and I'll always have this beautifully made flower!" He stated while he watched her work.
"Hah! Not the ladybugs!" She shook her head in mock despair and poked a skewer through a few chunks of eat and places them above the open flame. She liked Hibiscus, she found him odd and funny. She nodded, "Always! I'll wear it everyday." She pulled out a large pot and poured some chocolate into it. She stirred honey, a bit of flour and some sweet nectar she made the other day into the pot and let it simmer over the fire. "Can I get you anything else?" She offered.
He stared at the flames with a weird look while replying, "The ladybugs could ally with the beetles and bees! And then we'd all really be in danger" He said with a smile and a head shake of mock worry and seriousness. "I think I might stich the hibiscus on my bag or maybe one of my capes, I don't want to lose it and I want to wear it everyday" He said happily as he thought of ways to make it work. "Do you have any of those honey tarts? I might bring a few to Mother when I drop over later" Hibiscus commented as a reply.
okay im back! ))"Oh no, not the bees!" She laughed and nodded thoughtfully. "Yea, maybe you could! I'm glad you like it too." She turned and pulled out a decorative box, filled with honey tarts. "Here! Tell her I said hi, hm? Your mom is the best!" She grinned and set the box in front of him. There were about a dozen or so, golden crispy honey tarts, drizzled with nectar and sprinkled with almonds. They smelled delicious and were oven fresh.
((Welcome back!))
Hibiscus laughed again and smiled at Jade, "Thank you! I will, she always loves hearing from you. I completely agree! She is the best" He said as took in the amazing scent of the honey tarts. They were made to perfection with a golden surface and nectar drizzled on top. Even the almonds where on perfectly. "Mmm they smell and look so delicious! Thanks Jade! I should probably get going" He sighed before adding, "I still have to hop over to talk to some friends and then I have to visit one more shop before I open mine"

"You're welcome," She waved to him with a smile, "Of course, I'll see you tomorrow then?" She could see a few Hivewings sauntering down and knew they might be rude to Hibiscus. She quickly turned and turned the kebabs and the banana's before they burned.
Hibiscus gave a wave back with a smile as he picked up the box of honey tarts and placed them carefully in his bag along with the hibiscus flower. He glanced worriedly at the HiveWings that walked in and he quickly said goodbye to Jade, "Yes of course! I'll see you tomorrow. Don't get into any trouble!" He said before quickly flying out of the stall.
She waved and then turned to the newcomers. Talking quickly and carefully. She dished out multiple plates of food, some piled with kebabs, others with dried mango and nectar. She continuously swept the scales into a box, looking exhausted and it wasn't mid-day. Jade ran back to fill eight cups with fizzy drink. She handed out little jewels and sowed bugs.
((Jeez Jade is a busy busy woman. I'm sure she'd just fall asleep right away when she gets home after she closes the stall))
After Hibiscus had left Pitter Patter, he flew around to a few usual stalls and shops before heading over to his own stall on the third level. He started his opening steps. First, he went into the back room and he set his bag down carefully and he grabbed several different glitter covered capes and a few different sets of jewelry. And then, he went back to the front and laid out the items in his arms. He wasn't worried about taking to much time. His usual customers normally came in about ten minutes after he completely set up. Next, he doubled back through his displays and made sure everything was prefect before he opened up his stall and waited for the customers to roll in.
After a few hours and after multiple sales, Hibiscus closed down his stall and decided that now was a good time to visit his Mother. He flew down to her apartment with his bag filled with different items.
