The Sword and Laser discussion

I've been working in a sketch journal for a few months now because I have a terrible habit of buying copious art supplies, and then being precious about them and not using them. And as I've heard from other artists, the only bad art is the art you aren't making. My favorite medium is watercolor. Watercolor doesn't necessarily love me, but I love it. I decided to feature Chauncey in my sketchbook, then share it with you all. Oh, and searching for fan art for this book and the characters is a real treat. Some really, really, REALLY adorable pictures.

So I didn't really picture Chauncey exactly like this. I really saw his eyestalks as more snail-like and little to no mouth. But that would have been a boring picture.

SO cute, thank you for sharing! I love his mouth open too, it makes him feel more like he would have that crazy voice he has.
